I don't think Affinity has this feature. I've never seen it / can't find it.

Hello,
I know this is a minor issue, just wanted to you to know it exists, just in case. I did not find anything related to this on the forums, I'm sorry for double posting if it has been mentioned already.
APub's loading screen icon does not match the icon used inside the software. It's also not square (1:1 ratio) like it used to be.
Please see the attached screenshot.

That isn’t a bug. Treating the placeholder text as a single object allows it to keep filling the text frame as you resize it.
If you want to edit the text, right-click on it and choose ‘Expand’ from the context menu. There’s also an option under Preferences.

I really don't think that you should attempt anything, especially learn a software that is not intended to be used by someone who never used some kind of similar software before. The tutorials explain just enough so we get brought up to speed, so we can test the heck out of Publisher.
Please wait for the actual 1.0 release before judging the tutorial section and don't get so defensive and call someone a liar.

Serif is always trying to find better way to do things in their Affinity product line. I have trust in them.
I agree with you. Your idea seems interesting. the custom note warning feature could be very useful.

People who are interested in testing a non-production beta version of a specialised professional DTP app, should in my opinion know what they are doing. I expect the tutorials for the final release to be of the same great quality as for their other app. "Failing" is a very negative word.
