  1. Thanks
Andy900 got a reaction from iuli in Missing tool shortcuts in Designer V2 for iPad
I'm using a keyboard with my iPad when working in Designer. I would like to have the possibility to set a keyboard shortcut for all the tools, not just a few of them.

    Hi Andy900,

Thank you for letting us know and attaching document/screen recording. This is an issue we're aware of and is logged with development. I'll pass your comments over to development.

Andy900 got a reaction from jadedesign in Divide + add still generates tons of unnecessary anchor points
The bug remains where if you use divide for two overlapping objects and then add to combine parts of the new objects, a bunch of anchor points appear where the joints would be. How is this still not fixed? There's no shapebuilder tool because "geometry tools are sufficient for the task" and those geometry tools are this bad? Still. Really? Is this app supposed to get even close to the abilities of Illustrator any time soon?

Hmm... Perhaps it's back to Adobe for me yet again  I keep trying the Affinity stuff every year or so to see if they're catching up, but I keep running into very basic things like this not working properly. Maybe next year, huh?
Thanks so much Alfred for figuring this out!

It’s happening because the stroke alignment is set to ‘Outside’. The problem is less evident when it’s set to ‘Centre’, but it only goes away completely when it’s set to ‘Inside’.

Here's one file from before and one from after expanding the stroke.

Andy900 got a reaction from IPv6 in Brush in overlay blend mode
In Photoshop, setting the brush to overlay and painting on a mask brightens the bright parts and darkens the dark parts. This helps getting rid of fringes and other noise at the edge of the masked areas. In Affinity Photo, setting the brush to overlay has no particular effect.

You need to set the Leader character used by the tab stop. If you are editing with the text ruler, right-click on the tab stop and select the second option in the second row.

Will this maybe free up some of your time so you can make a DAM?
