  1. I'm designing multiple labels which we will print on a letter sized paper and cut up. One paper will have around 30 or so labels and each label needs to have a unique number serialized from 00001 and onward.
  2. oh alright , gonna have to keep doing this manually then hehe
  3. I use affinity a lot for floor plan design actually and the Symbols feature is a great thing. now the biggest issue that i have (aside from connecting and maintaining lines to each node) is NUMBERING. It's important for us to number each device and manually adding the text manually is tedious
  4. I know how to make a text curve to a path but this type of design seems to not only curve but there are also variations in size leaning and skewing of each font letter..
  5. @firstdefence - wow awesome! thanks man. I honestly did not have high hopes for this but im so glad the feature is there! this made my day. love affinity and the community! @Dan C - thanks Dan, gonna go through that video now..
  6. Holy sh*T.. this actually works! This will do for now. im loving affinity more and more! Thanks to all other replies, yes if affinity could add this feature natively, that would be a banging advantage. These diagram tools (eg. smart draw) are so overpriced. Designer (and other vector graphics tool) has all the stuffs one needs, except for the "line connection" side of things
  7. Hi guys I want to do the following in affinity: In Adobe Flash (my vector tool of choice for many ears) when one creates a symbol (basically grouping objects together and creating an instance out of it) , this instance is given a name. Say for example I designed a Car , a yellow lambo, in vector and put all of that in a symbol, and named it "CAR A" I can copy and paste duplicates of this "CAR A" as many as I want to create a picture of 100 yellow lambos The beauty of this Symbols thing of Flash is that, if I decide to make all the lambos GREEN, i simply edit one of the CAR A instances, and any changes inside that instance is reflected on all its copies.. and now I have a picture of many green lambos and i changed all its colors from yellow to green in a matter of seconds. I can't stress enough how useful this tool is for my work and I really really hoped Affinity had this feature. But i can't seem to find it.
  8. hi guys, I do a lot of diagram designs and I was wondering if there was a way to keep the lines joining objects connected so that when i drag an object the line simply adjusts, like diagram softwares.. for example say i have this drawn Then when i move one box like this, the line breaks... The desired effect should be that the line follows, like this: is this possible in Affinity? Or if not, what's the best way to go about achieving this same effect? PS I know there are DIAGRAM software out there but most diagram software is very limited in terms of design, and with a free form design tool like affinity, it's much better, but i just have these line problems. i have to constantly reconnect and redaw them :(
