More integration with other manufacturers. Serif already created an "illustrator killer" I honestly can't remember what my life was like on illustrator.. Photo is almost as powerful as Gimp but the user interface is as fluent as Photshop.. They can't do everything. Allowing for more integration and introducing scripts might be a way to go, but I wouldn't want them to take on new products as they're strugling with the ones they have.

Funnily enough, back when Serif made Draw Plus, this was a feature of their software, they called it Auto Trace. They had a version of image trace before Adobe did. So I would love for them to bring it back and refine it for the Affinity suite. But I'm in favour of them taking the apple approach here, really get it right, and get to be stable before they fully release it.

100% agree. Live trace is needed for brand designers. I use this feature often in Illustrator when I am trying out new fonts BEFORE I buy them. It gives me enough knowledge to know whether a font will work for my intended purpose. It's not as crisp however it still allows me to work out branding problems before refining the final version for the client. This is a huge Illustrator benefit. I'm honestly shocked it wasn't included in V1 let alone we're still waiting with it not in V2.

I agree that Serif would benefit from creating a media manager Lightroom alternative, another option would be to allow Affinity Photo, Designer and Publisher to link to an already existing alternative such as Faststone viewer, XnViewMP, Darktable or Digikam. Of course, this might be difficult to achieve with Serif's software development policy.

Looks like an easy thing to do. If Google did it, it shouldn't be all that difficult or expensive!

    Welcome to the forums!
Can't speak for Serif, but consider that this would be one more thing on top of what they are doing already and probably would have a negative effect on their ability to continue to develop the products they already have on the market, so it probably can't be justified given that there is a lot more competition in that space and users are already complaining left and right about features that are missing in the products Serif has released already.  Serif is a small company and their developers are already spread thin with the products they are currently maintaining.

Seems there's already a topic that addresses my issue, so I won't start a new one but  post it here:
I've recently delved into making isometric scenes and I have a few questions:
Making a custom "aspect lines" with the grid is a bit tedious - any plans on making an "vanishing point guideline tool"? And is there a way to rotate/skew/transform your artwork (vector or raster) to fit your dimensional plane? Hope that was complicated enough
Is there like a roadmap somewhere with maybe rough estimates of what is being developed and planned?
    Thank you,

A publshing software should have a perspective tool for mockups and such.

From what I've seen so far, when an image is placed into a Picture Frame and you resize the frame, one of two things will happen:
If you hold shift, the image will scale properly/proportionally as you change the frame size; or If you don't hold shift, the frame will resize as you specify, but the image will still scale proportionally. The result may be that parts of the image will lie outside the frame, and will not be shown, but the scale of whatever shows is correct. (I haven't had much time to play with this, but that's what I'm seeing at this point.)

Preferences, Keyboard Shortcuts, has an entry (under File) for Place... but with no shortcut defined by default. You could define your own.
