UdoBerlin got a reaction from deeds in Blending shapes
But look at what he has to do in the first video from 3:55 to 6:34 (and most of it is sped up!). Guy in the second video just ignores the jagged edges, because this is much harder to do on the curved letters.
Something we didn't have to do in FreeHand decades ago.

UdoBerlin reacted to Dan C in Possible to delete color channels? (Photo/Publisher)
Hi @UdoBerlin,
Another option is the following:
If your document has multiple layers, right click the top layer and select 'Merge Visible', to create one new Pixel layer with a full representation of the document. Select this Layer in the Layers Studio and navigate to the Channels Studio Right click on Pixel Magenta & Pixel Yellow, selecting Clear in the menu that appears.
Note you will now need to decide if you wish to include the Black channel or not If you wish to include this, you can export the image as-is, if not, please right click and select Fill for the Black channel Please see my screen recording below showing this -

I hope this helps

Hi UdoBerlin,
You can use the curves adjustment to reduce the YMK to 0. (dragging the right node to the bottom on each channel aside from alpha)

UdoBerlin reacted to iconoclast in Unexpected behaviour with 3rd party brushes
You can change the behaviour of the ends of a curve in the Stroke panel ("Kontur" auf Deutsch). There are three options for the behaviour of the endings ("Cap"/"Ende"), right below the slider for the Width ("Breite") of the stroke. Possibly you can solve your problem by checking them out.

UdoBerlin got a reaction from garrettm30 in Thank you
Just finished my first little Project (2 pages A5) in Affinity Publisher. Before ordering I sent the exported PDF to the printer to check if they would have any issues (their reply: “absolutely outstanding”).
And I love how much formatting Publisher carries over when I c&p from my InDesign document.
Thanks to all the team for all the hard work over the years!

UdoBerlin reacted to gdenby in Designer: Assigning Brushes to Pen Lines
Hi, UdoBerlin,
Yes. I haven't used Illustrator for years, but I suppose there are some differences in implementation. Designer strokes from the pen and other tools have a pressure adjustment. It can be set manually, and will continue being used for later strokes. One can define several of them, which will remain attached to the document. They can also be saved as styles, for use across all documents.

UdoBerlin reacted to Lee D in Affinity Designer on iPad: ICC Profiles
Hi UdoBerlin,
If you open Preferences > Colour you have the option to Import ICC Profile. The new ICC profile just needs to be stored on a cloud storage such as iCloud or Dropbox to then select.
