  1. I created a custom folder in persona Pixel mode named "Favorites", but when I try to move a brush the "Favorites" category doesn't show in the list of "Move to" folders. If I create a "Favorites" folder in persona Designer the folder shows in the "Move to" list. I have the latest version, tried restarting, etc. but it stubbornly doesn't show. I've also tried creating different folders just to test and none of them show up in the "Move to" list. They do show in the persona Pixel Brushes list. So I have a bunch of categories and can't move any brushes to them lol. Any help is appreciated. Update: I noticed that not all the categories were showing - it seems the list container doesn't scroll - it just cuts off the list. Is this a bug?
  2. Ah ok - bug and not just me lol. Yes I tried portrait mode and I get the same categories/number of categories in either mode so I guess I'll have to wait until the bug is fixed. Thanks for your quick reply!
  3. Affinity Designer: I can't move/copy a raster brush from one category to another. I created a "Favorites" category but when I use "Move to" many categories including "Favorites" I created is not in the list. It seems there is no way to scroll down the list to pick a category - all trying to swipe down the list just selects a category - so how the heck can you move/copy a brush? I am also trying this in Pixel Persona. Thanks Affinity Designer - latest update, iPad Pro 12, IOS latest update
  4. Thanks ! Didn't see that - assumed it was another alignment icon. I found a Designer video on it too. /headdesk Now I need to find a video on "how to copy/paste a selection" since that has a 50/50 chance of working when I "tap" it to get the menu to pop without moving my selection. I love Affinity Designer but I swear I spend more time looking up how to do simple things than getting any work done lol.
  5. Affinity Designer iPad (latest version). I'm trying to horizontally distribute 5 identical triangles and "Auto" does nothing and the "Width" is inoperable. I don't see anywhere to turn on/off Auto - it's text is white so I'm assuming it's on by default? All I have are the 5 triangles selected and nothing else. Is this another of these annoying "use fingers from each hand to tap" something? Align is working but distribute (horizontal and vertical) is completely non-functional. Thanks
  6. I've been trying to import the assets for this tutorial: https://affinityspotlight.com/article/how-to-use-the-new-isometric-drawing-tools-in-affinity-designer-17/?utm_source=SpotlightEmail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Newsletter and it crashes Affinity every time. I've done a hard reset on my iPad Pro and it still crashes. Maybe the file's too big? Is there a way to split up assets for smaller imports? File corrupted? I'm out of ideas. The assets link has "Open in Designer" but that gives me a " not a Affinity file" error. Thanks I also tried saving the file to iPad files and when I try to import it from there the file is grayed out so I can't select it. Same with other locations I've tried saving to so I don't know what the problem is. I also tried downloading it a few times in case my download was corrupted but same problem.
  7. Here's the scaling screen cap. The blue dot switches off and on even though I've kept my thumb on the screen (cause I'm holding the iPad.) The gradient is still a problem as it switches to color picker most of the time. In the preferences I tried switching "Touch for gestures only" off and on but that doesn't seem to make any difference so I'm assuming it has nothing to do with hold fingers on screen stuff. I'd pay you extra for a proportional scaling toggle and a way to disable the gradient switching to color picker lol. Other than these issues I could ditch all my other vector programs for Designer. Thanks Okay - I see the problem with scaling lol. I never would have guessed in a million years that you have to drag over the Transform panel with the lock on for proportional scaling. Without your video I never would have stumbled on this as it is not in the iPad Designer Help documentation. Silly me dragging the object handles like every other vector program lol. Yeah that color picker thing pops up way too fast so it's a constant source of frustration that kills the workflow. If a toggle won't work then at least an option to set the timing way up might make it tolerable. Designer is a wonderful, powerful program for the iPad but some of these unintuitive, weird ways of doing things has me spending more time looking up how to do simple things than getting any work done lol. Thanks so much for the videos DM1 - you've just made my Designer experience a whole lot better!

  9. Not talking about the layers lock. I assumed the Padlock in the Transform dimensions would "lock" the scaling but doesn't do anything. No, I don't want to use my "other hand" finger to scale because it's *gasp* holding my ipad. I don't always have some place to drop it to do those stupid finger tricks - ya know, *mobile*.... Yes, I have "show touches" enabled - why is there just not a button or toggle or something? Or is Designer supposed to be only used on an iPad flat on a desktop so you can use both hands to for this stuff? I mean really - even the cheapest, most basic vector programs for the iPad make this simpler than Designer. I don't need to drop my iPad so I can use both hands to simply scale an object, I don't need to watch how long I'm touching something to change a gradient, and I can simply select two nodes and pick "join nodes" for it to work - the first time. Don't get me wrong - I think Designer is fantastic and I use the desktop version all the time. But it's sad when I need to do basic stuff like this it's more efficient to do it in another program and export everything over to Designer. Yes, I can do a screen recording tonight and post it.
  10. Can't scale an object proportionally. Using the finger hold works only 5o% of the time if I'm lucky. The padlock to lock it doesn't work at all. Cant move the gradient nodes. They just pick a color instead of moving unless I try to drag it really fast. Works about 10% of the time. Normally it just picks whatever color and I have to undo over and over and over. Sometimes it just drags the node around for more undo fun. Can't join two nodes even using that stupid finger hold because "Close" and "Join" don't work. Works 0% of the time. Using that stupid finger hold just gives random other functions and when i get the blue dot thing Close and Join don't work anyway. For crying out loud could we please get these basic things working and some sort of alternative to this stupid finger hold thing. It's pretty much unusable wasting time trying to get these basic functions to actually work.
  11. No - the iPad version has too many quirky ways of doing what should be straight forward functions like scaling with locked aspect ratio. Should be simple, right? But the padlock in Transform doesn't work and I'd have to drop my iPad to plaster fingers all over to "lock" scaling. Totally ridiculous so I still have to use other vector apps on the iPad and export them to the desktop version. I'm hoping that someday there will be alternatives to using fingers to do functions so I don't have to drop my iPad just to scale an object.
  12. Particularly for proportional scaling unless there is a lock or toggle or something for it already that I'm not finding. I don't see anything in Transform and not sure where else it might be. Thank you. Forgot one thing: Ability to enter a percentage - on the iPad the keyboard doesn't come up for the input numbers so I can't put in a percent sign. Again, if this is in Designer somewhere I haven't found it in the Help file.
  13. I was blown away too! Waiting a long time for this - I have the desktop versions of Photo and Designer, and I've been using Photo for the iPad since it's release so having both for my iPad is fantastic! So far Designer runs like a dream! Thanks to the developers for making this happen! Looking forward to Affinity Publisher - so happy I can finally replace you-know-what with these fantastic apps!
