Thanks for the reply, Gabe.
The issue is only that I want to make sure the lines are crisp when printed or displayed digitally. As mentioned, I used Photoshop for more than a decade and have never had jagged line issues despite that Photoshop is also raster based.
I aIso worked as a print professional for almost as long. Though the tapering to one pixel is somewhat annoying, I know I can adjust brush width so it's somewhat negligable albeit I would prefer simpler means to the end. The jagged lines are disconcerting though as much of my artistic work is mixed media involving digital and physical paint and ink work, often with very fine line hatching and stippling. I would like to be sure that upon display the the graphics will be sharp, whether completely digital or printed. Is there any way to achieve that with photo?
Thanks

Hey guys.
I've recently purchased Affinity Photo for use with my Wacom Intuos 5 on my iMac. I've wanted to replace photoshop for some time, and was torn between using Photo or using Design, and am not totally sure I made the right choice. As an artist/designer who has used photoshop for more than a decade, I felt this would be a better option, as though I use it more for art, and almost never create vector images. However, I cannot get the lines to look crisp, or taper to a fine point, despite having maxed out the performance settings. Can anyone help with this? Should I have gone with designer instead?
Thanks
Jessica

Haha that's fair. I'm at work now but will send some when I get home. I've been using my phone to send these so unfortunately had to do without.
I appreciate the help though.
