  1. The question is what exactly you seek. I have such images in my iPad, but it is apparently not possible to send them directly from Photos since only the JPG version (which looks perfect) seems to be attached to the e-mail. I can send you an image imported into Affinity Photo, however. Just make a hint about how I should proceed…
  2. I encounter the same problem when trying to open RAW photos taken in portrait mode by Nikon Z6. Generally speaking, and in order to expand somewhat on the issues related to RAW photos, the way you can handle RAW photos on iPad appears to be regrettably limited. It seems that the only possibility is to open them in Affinity Photo (and, presumably, in Lightroom or so, as pointed out by Ionut), since you cannot work them otherwise, but when opened in Affinity Photo they lose their file name, becoming simply ‘Untitled’. It escapes me why it is so. When choosing the photo to open in Affinity Photo, you see a square crop of the photo, and not the entire image, making it more difficult to identify the photo aimed to open. I ignore which of these problems are wholly attributable to iOS for iPad, but if you copy an image from Photos to Files, though you can only copy its JPG version, and not its RAW version (why?), it appears in Files under the file name given by the camera. So this file name is saved somewhere and in all logic can be associated with the image, can’t it? Or am I wrong because of my ignorance of how all this works?
  3. That sounds promising. When are we to expect Affinity 1.8.4?
  4. It works. Funny! Thank you very much indeed for this piece of advice. And yeah, let’s hope that it will be noted and corrected by the creators of Affinity.
  5. Hi, If I draw an angle with the Pen tool, I can apply the Corner tool to the angle. If, however, I create the same curve by joining two lines (i.e. I have two separate lines and I make them joined with the Node tool through action ‘Join curves’), the Corner tool does not work with the angle so created. Do I overlook something, or does it just not work as it should? Thanks for help. Corner tool.afdesign
  6. I appreciate very much your patience. Still no result. I may have a mistake somewhere... Thanks.
  7. I tried amonst others a 4-page file directly with Ghostscript. The result was the following: It was enough to drag and drop the file on the window of Ghostcript. I had to press return after each page. What to do now?
  8. Thanks. The pdf2outlines.vbs file when running indicates no more an error, but it does not create the * _nofonts.pdf file either. 😞
  9. Thanks a lot for your efforts! I really appreciate it. I am so sorry to say that I am not such a skilled user, though, and I therefore ignore how to run Ghostscript, whose latest version I have just installed on my computer, and what to do exactly with the pdf2outlines.vbs file. I have tried to run it, but it flags out an error. (Sorry, the text from Windows is in Czech, but it basically says it cannot find the PDF file in question.) Would you be willing to help me a bit more to find the way?
  10. I am working on a PC and do not have Photoshop. Following your advice, Lagarto, I tried to import a PDF file into Gimp and then to export it as a Photoshop file. It opened in Publisher as a multilayer pixel file. I have not explored possible problems with other original PDF files, but it seems to be a way when one needs to take it. Thanks.
  11. OK, I understand, though after your explanation I find it to be both a feature and a problem. Why cannot the users switch off this kind of behaviour? And as pointed out, this behaviour more than rarely leads to distortions of the text.
  12. Thanks. An editable document would be entirely fine if the conversion from PDF was not associated with strange results in Publisher. Indeed, there are sometimes distorted (or possibly missing) texts. I am definitely happy to read that this issue is under review.
  13. Building on the initial question, is it really impossible to import a PDF file into Publisher converting it into an image, without keeping texts as texts? To be honest, I would find such behaviour rather suprising and not always practical.
  14. Without checking, I do not believe it has been solved. No new version has been released, has it?
  15. Well, the issue is dealt with by the developpers and we have to await their response and hope it will come quickly. On a PC you can go back to a previous version of the software, but once you have downloaded a new version on your iPad, I am afraid there is no way back and you (and me and many others) have to wait. (Maybe there is a solution that I just ignore and we can somehow return to the previous version.) But don’t lose faith in this software. This bug is surely very unpleasant and our discontent understandable, but it will be resolved. For me this has been the first more serious issue I have detected (there have been a couple of minor ones). Though I am a “newbie” on this forum, I have used Affinity Photo since its introduction on the market. This is entirely without prejudice to my urging the developpers too.
  16. As already reported under the PC version of Affinity Photo, there is a bug concerning the masking of groups of adjustments. The mask which should normally apply to the group of adjustments actually applies to pixel layers below. For details, I refer to posts reporting the bug in the PC version since it apparently behaves the same way on a PC and on an iPad.
  17. I completely agree that there must be a bug concerning the masking of groups of adjustments. I have just noticed it too, not only on my PC, but also on my iPad. The mask which should normally apply to the group of adjustments actually applies to pixel layers below. :-(
