In Photoshop when you open an image you can duplicate the image so that you can compare changes made to each image. Similarly in Aperture you can have different versions to compare different Develop settings. Is this possible in Affinity Photo?

I have the same problem. Studio link says I need to purchase both Photo and Designer which I have.
