    Hi Diane,
You should be able to change the colours using the Fill Tool found in the Pixel Persona.
    Thanks

Version 1.7.0 has been released to retail, so it’s no longer in beta. If it isn’t working well for you, I suggest that you revert to 1.6.5 until the 1.7.1 customer beta becomes available.
By the way, it’s a bit confusing for other users if you change the topic title to ‘got it’ and replace the text of your original post with ‘thank you’. Leaving the wording as originally posted helps to make it clear what’s being discussed.

Sorry to hear that Diane. If you do report an issue you are getting with a file then please do attach it to your post! If you do encounter the issue again then please let us know so we can take a look at your file!

    Thanks.

Page 28 looks fine, however page 27 is empty. this is because the content for page 27 is on page 28 (to clarify this after disabling facing pages)
If you look at page 28 and look at the layers tab you will see one group that contains 2 more groups, which have each pages content.
It may have been when you changed size, but it looks like two pages worth of content have been grouped together, which will cause confusion when disabling facing pages, as one group can only exist on one page and our app will struggle to figure out which content belongs on which page.

Are you able to provide the file that shows the facing page issue?
You can upload it here and it will only be used for testing so I can hopefully reproduce the issue, which makes it a lot easier for the developers to fix.

If you're creating a PDF, just select "Area: All Pages" rather than "Area: All Spreads" in the Export dialog.

Hi @Diane Window 10 Desktop AD,
there is an option in the Spread Setup dialog. Look for 'Scaling > Rescale'. But this will most likely distort your text if the ratio is not 1:1. You can try and see if this works. You can undo this operation.
If you work set up your layout with master pages beforehand you only would need to adjust things in one place and all is replicated to every page.
Look at this video on the topic:
    https://affinity.serif.com/de/tutorials/publisher/desktop/video/286534891
Please note that 'Edit > Content' detached from master pages in text frames was not available at the time this video was recorded.
    Cheers,
    d.

You need to have the move tool selected and have nothing selected in order to see the Spread Setup in the Context Toolbar. Otherwise go to File > Spread Setup.
Make sure you have All Spreads selected, and if you want to have the aspect ratio changed unlock the Dimensions.

I think he meant 'Spread Setup...'
This will change the dimensions of all pages (if you select 'All Spreads' in the to left of the 'Spread Setup' window).
If you have master pages you have to adjust them to the same size.
    I hope this helps
    d.
PS: There is a basic video tutorial on how to setup a document that also mentions that you can alter its dimensions at any time. See here: https://affinity.serif.com/de/tutorials/publisher/desktop/video/286534652

Excellent!..usually works...I do it all the time...1.7 brush engine is better..
If you find you cannot edit a brush by d-clicking on the thumbnail in Brush Panel...right click and select Edit brush or select from context bar will get you past it...

There are three ways to change brush adjustments:
Change its properties (width, color, etc.) in the context toolbar -- this affects only how the currently selected brush will will be applied the next & subsequent times you use it, or for AD vector brushes, how the currently selected object's vector brush stroke will be applied. It is not saved, other than being 'sticky' for the duration of that editing session. With the brush tool selected, click "More" in the context toolbar. The title of the window that opens will be named "Brush - Document Defaults." As the name suggests, this sets the default properties of that brush only for the current document. It is not otherwise (globally) saved. Change the properties from the Brushes panel, either by double-clicking on the brush in the brush list or with a brush selected in the list by clicking the 4 line icon to the right of the brush category list popup. This opens a window like in 2 above, but its title will be "Brush - Editing <name of brush>" with the <name of brush> text enclosed in square brackets, like "Brush - Editing [Solid Brush with Pressure]"  for the brushes in the basic category with the "Solid Brush with Pressure" name. This is the only place where brush adjustment changes are saved globally in the app. I am not sure if this is the source of your issue but I hope it helps you resolve or at least clarify it.

This is something I frequently see...(AD 1.65) Sometimes the brush adjustments just do not get saved....
One way of bypassing the issue..is to change your settings then duplicate the brush..and use the new brush

Is this in AD, or APh, or both?
I see from another thread that you’re on Windows 10. It’s a good idea to put this info and other system specs in your signature so that it’s automatically included in your posts in case it may be relevant.

I use ImageOptim on my Mac. It works very well, reducing the file size of PNG & JPEG images exported from Affinity by about 20 to more than 50%, depending on the algorithms I have enabled & the image content. Like the article says, it optimizes in place, but the original is moved to the trash so it is easy enough to retrieve it if needed.
It also can be used as a Mac OS service, so it is easily accessed by right-clicking on the file.

You can actually make a colour palette from the Document, so on the Swatches Panel click on the burger menu icon ( three lines) Select Create Palette From Document > As Application Palette, Choosing this will allow you to use the palette in other documents, As system Palette will allow other apps to use the palette and as document palette will only let the palette be used in the document it was created from.
The creation of the palette will be assigned the document name but you can rename it if you want. So now you have a nice palette to choose colours from.
To move on from there, if you select a colour swatch from the palette and then swap to the colour panel you can add more colours related in some way to the colour swatch you have selected by clicking on the burger menu and selecting Add chord to swatch, try Triadic, then go look at the colours added to the swatch in the swatches panel, they will be the first three colours top left.

    Fishin is bitchin hahaha!
I've worked out a way to get the extruded parts as individual extruded letters. Well I think I have, lets see.
In the Back Group select all of the text layers Select the Move Tool (V) and click on Convert to curves, you should now have lots of groups that replace the text layers. While all of the groups are selected, right click on them and select Ungroup, you will have a shed load curves, don't panic... yet!  Now we need to select each of the letters so we can add/merge all of repeated curves together. I found that selecting the Move Tool (V) and left clicking and dragging over the letter and then pressing the Cmd key, probably Ctrl on windows selects all of the repeated curves for that letter. If that works Click on the Add icon in the Geometry section and you should have a single extrude of say the letter C Do the same for all the letters I may make a video of this lol!

Looking good FunnyG480, Catlovers idea is good too, I generally use a compliment of apps to get what I want, sometimes I'll use one app and then copy over things like the extrude section for practice, just to get a feel for how it would be drawn by hand/pentool such as this example from Logoist 3

This is the file exported from Logoist 3: Cascadia.pdf
It is broken down into 3 parts the bevel which is an image, the text which becomes a curve and you can nest an image or images and the extruded part that is also an image.
This is what you can do in Affinity with the PDF, I added an image to the letters and sheered it to match the angle of the letters, I added a drop shadow to the extrude and also made it brighter and a bit more contrasty to match the image.

    Cascadia.afdesign
If you turn off the bevel layer and letters layer, you can see how the extrude is made up and if you feel adventurous you could lock that layer and try tracing over it with the pen tool.

There is a pseudo 3D way to make text look like this but you end up with a lot of duplicates
Another way would be to create a grid that mimics the "left to right" angle (14.5º) and the "right to left"angle (135º) and draw the 3D effect.
Another way would be to find an app that can do 3D text such as Logoist 3 for Mac.

    Here's my two cents worth:
Use a ready made 3-D font of your choice (available for free download everywhere).
Type your lettering, one by one, so that you end up with loose,  separate letters.
Because of the inherent nature of 3D letters, in this case this is easier than using the Kerning feature for text.
Convert each separate letter to curves.
Do your thing with the photo-fill, the color of the lines, the color of the 3D fall-off etc.
Now align and tweak the text so that it looks natural.
Group the lot when your satisfied with the result.
    Skew to the desired angle.
    Done.
