  1. OK, so I create an item, let's say a simple box. I select it and want to give it an Outer Shadow. Use default black, set opacity and offset. Then I decided to give the shadow a colour. Clicking in the color box, I can select a new value with swatches, sliders, etc. which changes the shadow's colour as desired. So I try the eye dropper/color picker tool. I can drag it over an existing color in the graphic, but it simply doesn't pick up that color for the shadow. I would expect it's behavior to be consistent where ever, when ever it's used. Inner shadow behaves this way too.

  2. On Both Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo Beta, I find seeing the tabs and the tab close box very difficult. Perhaps it's my eyes and my monitor, but I'd love to see a little more contrast so that both the tabs and the close boxes show up a little better without squinting to see them. Again, a small quibble, but something I found a little annoying. Thanks!

  3. Hi, I would assume Select Sampled Colour would select the sampled color and allow for a tolerance in the range. I've tried this in both Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo Beta, and either it's not implemented yet, or it has a way of working that's not obvious or intuitive. First, I found to use the eyedropper tool, I had to click and drag the eyedropper over to where I wanted to sample/select a colour, seems clicking on should suffice. Once selected I tried the menu item Select Sampled Colour and cannot get any activity from this. If I'm going about thus wrong, please correct me. Otherwise I look forward to this working intuitively and correctly at some point. Thanks!

  4. Hi All, I've created a vector drawing with the pen tool that's petrol pump with a dispensing hose.

I've decided I wanted to do a black and light gray gradient around the hose to give it some roundness. Make it appear as a round rubber hose. I want the petrol pump body different colors. How do I go about splitting the hose off from the pump body and rejoining the pump body where the hose segment attached? Without redrawing the pump body and hose separately?

    Thanks in advance!
