  1. Maybe this can help you. It looks like you have to install a scanner first... https://affinity.help/photo/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/GetStarted/scanningImages.html?title=Scanning images
  2. Hello South Korean user, Please be more specific here. Which application? Photo, Designer, Publisher? Which tool did you select? Which operating system? Windows, MAC OS, other?
  3. Hi, Please specfy which type of computer, Windows or MAC or ... In Windows the Task Manager can be used to 'kill' non-responsive programs. For MAC OS i don't know...
  4. Did you try to convert ARW files to JPEG (or TIFF ) first. Your hardware specs sounds more than enough to me 🙂
  5. Did you continue with your own work on page 146 or did you open the mam_tor.aphoto file? AFIK the .aphoto is the final result and for referernce to which you can compare your own work.
  6. Are there any pending Windows updates (zsee scren shot). Apply them first...
  7. Hello Skrobo, Please provide som more information. What operating system (Windows, Mac OS, other) and version? Do you use a (regular) mouse device or a tablet? Are other applications working correct (in relation to the mouse cursor)?
  8. A lot could be happening How many images are you feeding into the panorama process, how many megabytes combined file size is that? What is your computers RAM size? When you convert the Sony RAW files to JPEG first and use those JPEG files for panorama stitch does it work or not? And oh yes, How much free space on your hard disk partitions (C: and other partitions if applicable)
  9. When taking a photo of the white face it might be an idea to 'paint' it green with about the same green of the hulk picture. So the starting point for fine tuning is much closer.
  10. Printing is (IMHO) a difficult and time consuming issue. Please have a look at this tutorial: https://lenscraft.co.uk/photo-editing-tutorials/affinity-photo-printing-for-photographers/
  11. About applying a gaussian blur to a PART of an image. Do not use a layer effect but use a Life Filter added to the background layer. Adjust the gaussian blur as much as you like (can be changed afterwards). Select the Gausian Blur layer and invert it with Ctrl-I. By inverting the layer mask the mask becomes black effectivily hiding the blur effect. Select the Paintbrush tool, select white color in the colors panel and (optionally) change brush attributes such as size, hardness. Paint with white on the the Gausian Blur layer to reveal the blur effect. BTW I'm googling for a way to record a screen video but not yet found a good one.
  12. And oh yes, it's most unfortunate that Affinity Photo does not have a Visual Basic (alike) of scripting language. The product would become much more powerfull for automated workflow tasks IMHO.
  13. You _can_ change the DPI setting of a document without changing other attributes by unchecking Resample. on the Resize Document window. Have Fun !
  14. Sounds like you need to have a look at the Macro option in A.F. Macro's can be recorded and saved. Once a macro has been saved it can be selected in a New Batch Job. To show the available macro's (by installation) or made by you, you have to enable the Libary panel (Menu, View, Studio, Library) and you might as well enable the Macro panel at the same time (Menu, View, Studio, Macro).
  15. Start the application with the Ctrl key pressed (Windows) and you will see a clear user data window first...
  16. I suggest to fill in the (very) white background with a gradient color. Considering the tonals of the picture a blue-ish color
  17. Another option to uncrop a background layer (pixel layer) is using Menu, Document, Unclip Canvas. And yes, that also works after applying addjustment layer(s).
  18. Hi, In the past three years I did a lot of updates (started with 17.x) and never 'lost' something. On the other hand I also should mention that my setup is almost always 'unmodifed' besides some shortcut keys i added.
  19. Could you be more specific please. What application did you update? Photo, Designer, ? What is your OS, Windows or MAC or otherwise . And what version(s) of the OS?
