When Publisher crashed and I relaunched the application a dialog was displayed asking if I would like to recover the file I was working on. Now when I export PDF files from this project "Recovered" appears somewhere in the data of the pdf and is visible in the browser tab when I view it. "Media Kit - Recovered.pdf"

I have recovered files from Publisher, but now the exported PDF show "Recovered" in the file when I view it. How do I reset the source file, or clear this recovered status?

I looked. It's MAC only. It also looks like the early 90's. ..and. It's more expensive than Affinity Designer and it only styles text.

I just looked at Inkscape again... They have a warp capability, and text on path.... And it's free.

I'd like to chime in as well. Over the 20 years I've been a designer I've used CorelDraw, Freehand, Illustrator, and recently switched to trying out Affinity Designer. I was actually a little shocked when I discovered that AD didn't have this rudimentary vector manipulation tool... As I stated, all these tools had this capability and this was 20 years ago. I never even checked the specs before I purchased... because what vector illustration tool product would ever ship without it? It was inconceivable. Please make a concerted effort to build this capability into your application, it's a crippling omission. Basic logo work is severely hampered, and has forced me to go back to Illustrator CS2 (released in April, 2005 - 14 years ago...) to continue my design work that I had purchased AD to do.

Yes... I absolutely agree. There are specific illustrative techniques that are pinned on this exact type of technology. Anything that is repetitive, and need to be scaled and shaped would be exceedingly difficult to accomplish with the current set of tools. I don't need Illustrator duplicated, but modifying the current raster brush should be augmented with a vector pattern for scaleable malleable art.

Hello, Long time Illustrator user, trying to switch over to Affinity Designer... One feature I miss is the ability to draw an vector shape (simple or complex) and use it as a brush. A bicycle chain for example. I know there is a raster version of this. This just doesn't seem as good as vectors... Joel Cory
