  1. @Komatös Thank You Very Much for this information. There really should be specific instructions available for these shortcuts. I don't regularly use the windows start menu for much of anything, and this has been an hour-long hassle for me to get my shortcuts back (including breaching the recommended security on the WindowsApps folder looking for the Affinity installs (which did not result in acquiring working shortcuts)). I am very disappointed by this oversight. Hopefully the new features will be worth all this stress.
  2. @GarryP, thank you, that exactly addressed my problem. I appreciate your help. My search terms were "affinity designer dark mode layer thumbnail" so I am not sure why that thread didn't turn up for me directly. In the future, I'll leave out 'affinity designer' I guess.
  3. Sorry if this has been posted previously, search turned up nothing applicable. In Affinity Designer Dark Mode, is there a way to make the dark grey backgrounds of the Layer thumbnails brighter? There is no reference to this in the manual, and no setting near configuration control for Dark Mode. If one's drawing is composed of many black curves, they are very hard to see against the dark grey thumbnail background in the stack of layers. Thank you for any assistance in identifying an adjustment setting for this, otherwise, please consider this a UI design issue that should be addressed. Please see screenshot below.
  4. Could you consider making it possible to optionally assign keystrokes to more of the toolbar tools across the top, for example, it would be nice to assign a keyboard key such as S, D, and F to the node conversion buttons that are available when the Node tool is selected (or if there is a way to do this that isn't apparent to me, explain it to me :-) ). Currently in key assignments it appears to me that there are only limited customize-able keystrokes.
  5. Thanks, Mike. In fact, I have downloaded the trial, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to exhaustively test it before the trial expired. I am hoping that people who have more extensive experience with both products could give me some insight.
  6. Can someone provide reasons why purchasing Affinity Designer is advisable/preferable to continuing with Inkscape? To provide context, my needs are light, I'm not a professional designer, and don't do design work for a living. I do occasional projects requiring vector work, and so far Inkscape has fulfilled my needs, but what do I get with Designer that I don't have with Inkscape that might make it worth spending the money for, even at my level of use? In particular: Is Designer more stable? Are there more tools in Designer? Is it any more intuitive than Inkscape? Does Designer handle work with a dense number of data points better than Inkscape does? Thanks for any insights.
