  1. I bet the people at Adobe were saying few months ago "hmm maybe we should consider offering perpetual licenses again as Affinity is taking a large chunk of our customer base" Then after this CANVA announcement Adobe said while laughing their socks off "AH scrap that idea lets keep the subscription model going, Affinity just sunk their own flagship" 🤣
  2. Does this mean Affinity going forward will be SUBSCRIPTION ONLY the very thing that separated Affinity from Adobe that attracted MOST of your customer base to invest in Affinity products? I had a look at CANVA and the first thing that jumps out of the screen is that they are SUBSCRIPTION ONLY.... *sigh*
  3. UPDATE: Over the last few days I have been using a different G-Sync monitor, Rog Swift PG48UQ and there are no problems, maybe the G-Sync issue is on older monitors such as my original Rog Z35....
  4. I have started a discussion with an Nvidia member of staff here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/notifications/comment/312320/ If anyone else wants to chime in so they might prioritise
  5. Hi there, there seems to be a problem related to G-SYNC when using all Affinity products on the latest Windows 11 22H2, NVIDIA released a fix for the gamers experiencing lag but it seems Affinity is still affected, mouse will lag when moving around screen if G-SYNC is on. Turning G-SYNC off everything works fine, however... turning G-SYNC off per APP also works but will cause black flashes in Affinity, obviously WARP works fine as the renderer. The old way to fix this problem was to disable MPO in the registry, that no longer works, so hopefully enough people will report this problem to NVIDIA to get it investigated, other apps also affected I have tried include CUBASE 12 / Davinci Resolve, so it is not exclusive to Affinity software. 3090 / 12900k / 64g DDR5
  6. I had a graphical problem this morning, started a new post for it, but it turned out to be my Nahimic service causing problems in Affinity Photo / Designer as well as some VST plugins for audio production. It might be a long shot but I thought I should mention it here, if u have it enabled, disable it, restart PC, see if something changes..... FOR THE BETTER?
  7. It is hard to describe this one so I have attached a video showing it, the problem is same for Designer as well as Photo, I have the latest Nvidia driver and I also tried using CPU for processing as well as the GPU and the problem remains, watch the video, this is a good one lol PS I have also tried re-installing the software... UPDATE: I have found the possible culprit, running more tests, its that dam 'Nahimic service' that enabled itself again after my Realtek updated, will leave this post here in case others have same issue. affinity (1).mp4
  8. Also do not forget the Nvidia MPO registry fix still works, it needs to be disabled then the problems go away, for now
  9. Hi dude, best way to record is via your nvidia card, install GeForce Experience, then enable in game overlay, then in the same box click settings, scroll all the way down and enable desktop capture. F9 should toggle recording on and off, other settings you may consider in the settings tab, Recordings = Where the video will be saved, also if u click Settings then click DONE, you will still see an overlay with extra settings, click Record, then settings, u will now have options to tweak for best quality.
  10. The new driver is out today and it makes the problems we all had 30 times worse hahahahha.... not funny I know, I have now decided to try the reg fix suggested by Manuel from NVIDIA which disables multiplane overlay that is meant to address the flickering but for me it has also fixed the mouse stutter lag. This fix was meant to be in the new driver out today 461.92 but is obviously not. https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5157/track/AvNKvQrCDv8S~dEtGs4e~yJl4uEqeC75Mv_e~zj~PP9X
  11. I can confirm the problem remains and there might be something in your post that I can back up, I loaded up Cubase 11 a music production software that I was having the mouse lag stutters in and the stutters are now gone. I then loaded up Affinity Photo / Designer and the mouse lag stutter remains. UPDATE: I take it back, Cubase is lagging again lol, seems it must be a driver issue
  12. That is an interesting article, I personally have never messed with V-Sync global settings, I do turn it off in-Game settings due to G-Sync, hopefully this new driver coming any day should squish some bugs...
  13. It is also worth noting to dispel the myth that STUDIO drivers are the exact same driver as GAME DRIVERS, no difference at all, the only difference is the rate in which the driver comes out, for example a STUDIO driver may come out every month or so while a game ready driver might have two versions and a hotfix within a month. To simplify if a studio driver was labelled 407.99 (made it up) and a game driver was labelled 407.99 then they are the exact same driver, nothing different. You can search more on this via YouTube, people rightfully get confused thinking they are different drivers they are not, its just that the Studio drivers are paused.
  14. The Studio driver is 461.40, the problems began after 460.89, the only fix right now for me is to either use 460.89 or as I am currently doing using the hotfix latest driver but disabling GSYNC in the SET UP GSYNC panel. Note disabling gsync per application or globally in the 3D settings causes flickering in some apps, Affinity Photo for one, but that link gives a reg fix for it but I have not tried it yet as everything is now working fine as long as the steps above are taken
  15. I have updated my original post and will copy paste here below also in case u miss it for a possible fix for the flicker after disabling GSYNC: NVIDIA have now got back to me, they are aware of some of these issues and a new Driver addressing them should be available by the end of this month, they also gave me this link for a reg fix for the flicker after disabling GSYNC https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5157/track/AvNKvQrCDv8S~bUtGmwe~yJl4uEqeC75Mv~Q~zj~PP8Z
  16. 17. UPDATE: I went ahead to update the driver and its the same, I am now using the Warp or Wrap thing in performance, no problems with that, cant be asked to go back to the previous driver again, hope nvidia get their act together soon....
  18. Hi again, do we know if this new 1.9 addresses the lag issue, just wondering whether or not to go ahead and update the driver or no lol
  19. Hi there, yes I searched the forum and noticed a few other users with the problem so I re-installed the latest driver for an experiment with G-SYNC, HOWEVER, when disabling G-Sync for me the application flashes when performing an action and although the zoom lag is eliminated there is still lag when dragging objects, also tried disabling per application than global. It is a strange one for sure, gone back to 460.89 few mins ago, no problems. 20. Glad to see someone else has the same issue, for me the issue is gone by using driver 460.89, anything after this causes the zoom lag, mouse lag, but I have noticed it in other apps too such as Cubase Pro 11 for a brief moment. Try the driver 460.89 and raise a ticket with NVIDIA, I have been trying for weeks and the latest driver came out few days ago and still has the same issue... I might re-install the latest and disable G-Sync as mentioned above and see what happens... Good Luck OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042 System Manufacturer: ASUS System Type: x64-based PC System SKU: ASUS_MB_CNL Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. 1802, 01/12/2020 BIOS Mode: UEFI BaseBoard Product: ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO (WI-FI) Installed Physical Memory (RAM): 64.0 GB GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (MSI Gaming X Trio)
  21. Hi there, I noticed a lag when zooming or moving the mouse using NVIDIA DRIVER 461.40 (also affects designer), the lag is gone using DRIVER 460.89 I have tried to raise this issue with NVIDIA but we are now on the 2nd driver since (inc previous hotfix driver) and nothing has been done. I wonder if any of you are having similar issues and if so maybe Affinity should raise this issue with NVIDIA themselves...? Cheers Ryan
  22. I am getting a similar problem with photo / designer / publisher when selecting color by moving the mouse pointer around the color box it is lagging to update the choice of color...
