  1. One thing I really miss from GIMP (in any editor basically) is how powerful the selection tool is. One does not need a dedicated crop tool there because all of the functionalities of it are there. The whole crop tool is basically a fancy select tool and I'd like to be able to do stuff like constraining the selection to a ratio, or modifying it immediately on canvas without the need to pass through quick mask and move tool. From there crop to selection is just one step away.
  2. Are there any plans to release an API to develop macros/actions? (javascript comes to mind, with it having a first-class status now concerning OS X scriptability and all)
  3. Hello, it would be very useful if it was possible to modify the selection rectangle when using the marquee tool. Ideally, it should behave the same way the crop tool does, i.e. one can drag sides and corners of the current selection to modify it, with modifier keys for various constraints (square, proportional etc.) also, being able to force constraints on a selection is great. Currently, for me the only useful way to create rectangular selections is to create a rectangular shape and once I am happy with it use layer to selection (which is not a bad workflow, but I'd love to not have to use this). Many thanks for great software! Cheers Edit: I've just realised that this is the wrong forum to be posting this. This request is for Affinity Photo Beta
