When I place a selection in Affinity Photo I don't see the size it is. I see the measurements only as I draw, If I release the mouse button, I don't see the size anymore (W: --, H: --). I see this with an active selection from the Rectangular Marquee Tool: How do I get the size of an active Selection displayed? Second question: Is it possible to create a fixed Size selection (px), maybe 600 x 400 px? If you have to resize a dozen photos with employees, it would be very helpful. Fixed Ratio, Fixed Size would be great ;)

Nice that it is on the roadmap. It's not easy to program a clean outline function. Good outlines usually has type design apps, like Glyphs or Fontlab. Because I still have Illustrator I will continue to use Illustrators Offset Path for Outlines, everything else i will do with Designer. Thanks for all the answers.

That's exactly what I mean. It's not a real outline, it is no more than a line width. That's it. For vehicle and display lettering, especially for logo design you need a real outline. This must then be done with another App. For the logo that I am currently developing I used Designer for the first time, a pity that I quickly reach my limits.

This is not a real outline, it's just a line width. A real outline works like the Offset Path in Illustrator. Especially for logo design, you have a lot more possibilities if you have an additional shape.

These are Photoshop Smart Objects Mockups. Smart Objects are not available in Photo, at least for now. Maybe it's on the roadmap? Some older Mockups work, Photoshop CS 2-6, but it's just luck.

Designer How do I skew an object vertically. Horizontally via the Transform window, but how vertical? I have rotated the object 90 degrees, but Designer remembers that, and scales horizontally as before. Is vertically skew not possible?

The colored icons of the GUI are terrible, just too colorful for me, it distracts too much from the picture. Is there a less colorful alternative for the Affinity Apps?

I was looking for my agency, and perhaps also for my clients, for an alternative to Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. What I and my customers desperately need is the function Save for web. I have seen that the function does not exist. The complicated detour via the export function is sad, this is not an alternative. The internet is 20 years in 2018. I hope that Affinity Photo at some point is to add these simple function. A great program, pity that we don't get together at this point.
