I know I have already downloaded the apps from Serif (not the App Store). I now ask myself what to do next. Uninstall the version 1? Start an upgrade? What is the best way? I think I need to delete the old versions, right?

You do your paragraph and character styles, and the layout is ready for going. By Generate the pages will built up fully formatted with your styles, page by page. Spacing is done by paragraph styles. Am I blind, I can't find the offset tool? The help page: Tool shortcut key: O. Nothing happens when I select the O. There is no "offset tool" entry in the menu, not in the windows, and not below the Node Tool. Am I blind, where is the tool?

macOS 10.15.7 Catalina Publisher macOS 1.8.6 I have downloaded and installed Affinity Publisher, macOS version 1.8.6, several times from my Affinity Account (not AppStore). After installation I start Publisher and get the following message: "Affinity Publisher.app" is damaged and cannot be opened. It is recommended to move the item to the trash. I just have to confirm, then Publisher will land in the trash. If I don't confirm, I will receive the message. What's going wrong?

I was about to post the same question … Graphic artists often need monochrome bitmaps in order to use them as a transparent graphic with any color in a layout. There are many ways to use 1 bit images in a design. Hard to believe that this is missing.

The answer of a Windows user, detours are a commonplace. Let's leave it at that. The question is answered, Serif does everything differently than others, and you have to start from scratch if you switch. The Publisher translation is a disaster for prof. designers who know the familiar terms from Ventura, Aldus, Adobe, etc. New / different is not always better. That's my personal opinion. This is not an attack, it's feedback. I will not use Publisher, Designer and Photo I will remain faithful.
