  1. @gdenby So these pictures may make it harder to follow, but basically what I want is basically a smooth gradient between two colors, which in probably most of my cases would be used for shading. Basically, I want to make the darker shade as the shading and use some tool to be able to smooth the transition between colors to make it look natural. @PixelPest So if you look in my third picture (the odd one out) wouldn't getting the gradient tool make it hard to control if I had the curve all the way around the head? Sorry if I'm seeming stubborn, it isn't really my intention. I basically have no experience in drawing/vector drawings, so I may be missing vital information or techniques
  2. So, so far the best way I've gotten it is by adding a layer with the darker color and using the transparency tool, however, it feels iffy to deal with and probably won't work on more complex shapes. Does anyone know any more ways to do so in Designer in Vector mode?
  3. Thanks for all the suggestions, I realized that I forgot to mention that I'm using Designer in the original post.
  4. Sorry for this really basic question type, but typically when coloring in something you outlined are you supposed to use the pixel or the draw persona brush? Secondly, is there a way to stop your brush from drawing over the outline (as in drawing on the other side too)?
  5. Ok, thanks to both of I think I get it, because of the curve handle being too far, it causes the next one to compensate. So I need to find a way to make the curve without overextending it.
  6. I am trying to learn how to draw using the program to draw, I have been messing around with the pen tool, however, I keep running into an issue where after 3 or 4 points on the pen tool, the next point will make the line overly longer than what it needs to, making it where I can't make the curve without there being a random loop. How do I stop it from doing that?
  7. So there is no direct way to erase it with the eraser tool such as drawing stuff directly into the layer instead of curves under the layer? However, thanks, at least I don't have to redraw everything I did before
  8. So, hey guys, I've been trying to learn how to draw using Designer, I think I have been making some progress but a simple part that has been bugging me, how do you erase a curve drawn with the Vector Brush Tool ( I don't even know if that is the right tool to be used to draw with) Whenever I try to erase something I did a little while ago I rather not have to undo everything else I have done to get to that point, and rasterizing seems to either make it pixel-ly or still doesn't allow me to erase the stuff I drew before. Am I using the right tool to draw, or do I need to change a setting or something
  9. Hey, I recently started the trial to see if I would like this program and so far I have, however, one thing that I noticed that will really bother me is that with the surface pen (the one with the top and side button) I can't press the right button and use the pencil's color picker. Is there a way to remap that or is there a tablet mode I can use to make it work better in the tablet mode on my surface book (Like photoshop's feature to use all the hotkeys on the left)? Thank you guys in advance, if one of those features are in there, I will most definitely get the program
