Affinity Publisher for iPad Pro
ConnectCreative replied to Sanctuary's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
I know that, but I'm asking how there can be a Publisher v2 for iPad when there's not been a v1?! -
Affinity Publisher for iPad Pro
ConnectCreative replied to Sanctuary's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
Out of curiosity, why are they referring to 'Publisher 2 iPad', where's Publisher 1 iPad?! Unless they are also bringing out Photo 2/Designer 2? And what about Publisher 1 Desktop? -

I had no clue that's what 'Absolute Sizes" meant, so many thanks for your post! This was exactly what I was looking for. -

If its any help, that's the EXACT same setup I have too. -
I can yes, the file is fine and although it's a file that's backed up to iCloud it's stored locally and fully downloaded. It's how all my other documents are held and I don't have any other issues with other Publisher docs. It won't let me re-link any of them, BUT I can create a new picture box and import the image that way, so Publisher has no issues accessing the files. I'm confused!

I have one rogue Affinity Publisher document that for some reason has an issue with Links inside the Resource Manager being listed as 'Access denied'. All other Publisher documents are fine. Using Mac OS Monterey + latest Publisher build. I thought it was something to do with Full Disc Access, but ticking this on makes no difference. Any ideas please?!

I'm struggling to find some decent PSD mockups that work in Affinity Photo. Appears to be hit and miss with Smart Objet support. Does anyone have any links to some resources (happy to pay) that work well with Affinity Photo please? Looking to make some brochure / poster / exhibition stand mockups to show off my work. Thanks!

Find all missing links

YOU'RE A STAR! Thank you for the tip, that will save me a load of time. Wish it worked like that when using the Resource Manager but this is a great workaround. Thanks! -
Find all missing links

Wait, what?!! I'm trying that right now, hold on!!! -
Currently having to manually update a pile of links within a product catalogue. One feature I really miss from InDesign (sorry to swear) was the ability for the Resource Manager to find additional missing links automatically, once you'd pointed it in the right direction of just one missing link. It would save SO much time if Publisher could tell that all the other missing images were in the same folder.

I'm not sure why it works like that in both instances, it feels unintuitive after using 'other' collect for output options in different software. If I'm collecting a document together in order to gather all images and fonts, I don't understand why that would change the nature of the files behaviour from then on. I just want to gather the images, not change how the file works. Not being able to just open it after and make a a quick amend and save seems bizarre?

Just done my first 'Save as Package' with 1.9 beta and its corrupted the document. An example is shown in the screen recording below, but to explain: I used the Save as Package feature, collected my job and quit Publisher. When I've come to reopen the file, Publisher shows the package screen again (rather than just open the document). I have to click 'OK' to open the document. Secondly, if I now make changes to this, I'm unable to save anything. Screen_Recording_2021-02-18_at_12_08_35.mov
