  1. As a Mac user, you have the luxury of a Control key and a Cmd key. Windows users, who only have a Ctrl key, are currently saddled with a horrible RightMouseButton+LeftMouseButton combo.
  2. Thanks for the video, but moving the transform origin horizontally or vertically defines a very simple scenario. What happens if you move it to (say) the upper right-hand corner of the image? I would say the latter, but I don’t think either view is more valid than the other!
  3. But you don’t have one part from the lower rectangle and two parts from the upper one! You have one part from the lower rectangle, one part from the upper rectangle, and one part from both.
  4. Both of those videos work for me, Walt. The main thing I noticed in the v1 video is that the Move Tool was initially active and remained active until the last of a series of finger taps finally succeeded in selecting a character. The main thing I noticed in the v2 video is that I couldn’t see the tools!
  5. It seems logical to me that the Transform Origin only works as a centre of rotation, since it’s a single point. For mirroring we would need an axis, defined by two points rather than just one.
  6. Group it with a rectangle the same size as the canvas, flip the group and then delete the rectangle.
  7. If you have a universal licence, you can use the software on any compatible device (Windows, Mac, or iPad) that you own or control. If you have an Affinity Designer for Windows licence, you can only use it on Windows.
  8. I only see one facing to its right instead of its left. Couldn’t you flip the mouth vertically for some of the instances?
  9. The trial version is fully functional, the only limitation being that there is a time limit.
  10. It’s interesting to note that L.L. Zamenhof is described as the “founder” of Esperanto, rather than its inventor. Please learn to use the ‘Quote’ feature on these forums. A leading ‘>’ symbol is fine for quoting in emails and Usenet posts, but it doesn’t link to the original forum message (and it also doesn’t stand out very well).
  11. When you say “with this”, do you mean an Affinity app? And if so, which one? What exactly did you try, and what don’t you like about the result?
  12. Thanks, Ron. I missed that important detail because your screenshot didn’t include the cursor. I see what you mean now.
  13. The mouse pointer is clearly visible in the screenshot that @Komatös posted: How did you create your octagonal artboard? It looks like a rectangle with chamfered corners.
  14. Thanks for that. I don’t see how a site can steal information if you’re simply downloading a file without first submitting an online form, but I thought it worth mentioning that my browser wasn’t happy! Viewing the site’s security certificate reveals that it’s “Not Trusted” and has an expiry timestamp set to “25/06/2023 20:16:54”; i.e. today, but not until 20:16:54 (presumably UTC).
  15. I don’t think the word ‘bickering’ means what you think it means! You asked how Hamburgefonstiv could be misconstrued, and I merely attempted to answer that question. I shan’t bother in future.
