  1. LOL. Some people don’t seem too keen to acknowledge that they can only say why they don’t want something, not why you don’t! I can’t say I’ve given much thought to source paths for cloning, but I’d certainly like to be able to circumscribe a source area for inpainting. The current algorithm often picks up source pixels that I don’t want to use.
  2. Thanks for the clarification! For whatever it’s worth, I’ve never liked relying on autosave in any software product: if it kicks in on schedule, it often does so at the most inconvenient moment. Doing a manual ‘Save’ or ‘Save As…’ is much better. It gives you complete control over resaving the project, meaning that you can choose if and how to save after any major changes (regardless of whether that’s after 3 minutes or 30).
  3. In the ‘Positioning and Transform’ section of the Character panel there’s a Baseline value that controls the position of the bottom of text characters.
  4. Adjustments including the Threshold adjustment are, of course, available in both Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo.
  5. The default autosave value is 300, not 30. It’s clearly 300 seconds, or five minutes: 300 minutes (i.e. five hours) would be much too long to be of any practical use! The ‘Autosave Interval’ control can be found under ‘Preferences > General’.
  6. That’s correct. If you want to print in white on a black T-shirt you can’t use CMYK process colours, you have to use white ink. I once saw a demonstration of a photocopier that could use a white toner cartridge, allowing white designs to be printed on black paper (or any other dark colour).
  7. I don’t see anger in any of the responses here. I think your fellow users are just genuinely puzzled about what you think you could do with a new Stencils panel that you can’t already do with the existing Assets panel.
  8. VectorStyler was on sale nine months ago. I think it was a Black Friday offer, so you might like to look out for a similar deal in about three months’ time.
  9. Most of the moderators seem to allow private messaging, so you can usually use that route to ask off-topic questions.
  10. Does Task Manager not show any relevant entries on the Processes tab?
  11. Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Cgreene. It sounds as though you’re asking whether you can crop a photo so that it isn’t cropped automatically when you upload it to Facebook. Are you merely trying to preserve the aspect ratio, or am I missing something here?
  12. Later versions of PagePlus could be used to create single HTML pages but they were not well suited to the production or editing of websites. Even WebPlus performed poorly in the area of HTML import, so much so that the feature was dropped for the last version of the product.
  13. I viewed and downloaded the file without any issues. Here ’tis: Can’t the desired result be achieved quite easily in AD via the Appearance panel? A grey stroke bordered by black lines is just a broad black stroke with a slightly narrower grey stroke on top.
  14. As you may have seen from my sig, I’m using iPadOS 15.5 on an iPad Air 2. So I doubt that I’m in a position to help.
  15. Which model of iPad Air do you have, and which version of iPadOS are you on?
  16. If you look closely at the Context toolbar you’ll see that Opacity is set to only 10%. You probably pressed the 1 (one) key at some point. It might be easier to use the Clone Tool in a case like this.
  17. There are currently eight products, not three, and there will be nine when Affinity Publisher on iPad is released.
  18. If you’re not sure whether it’s a bug, it’s best to post in the Questions section instead of the Bugs section. You might be trying to work outside of a small pixel selection that you can’t see. Press Cmd+D on Mac or Ctrl+D on Windows to deselect, and then try again. Make sure that Hardness, Opacity, and Flow are all set at or close to 100%. Also make sure that ‘Protect Alpha’ is switched off so that you aren’t prevented from painting on transparent areas.
  19. That sounds like a good idea, assuming that you don’t mind taking the time to do it.
  20. It isn’t specific to artboards. An artboard is merely a special kind of layer/object, so (just like, say, a rectangle) you can simply select it and apply a fill colour.
