  1. Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Mildred. CraftArtist should never prompt you to register unless it was supplied with a faulty product key, but you can use the Universal Registration Key 881887 to register CA or any of Serif’s other ‘legacy’ software products.
  2. Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @brandpreneur. Support for PostScript Type 1 fonts is coming to an end, but any OTF or TTF fonts should be usable, as far as I’m aware. What fonts are you trying to use, and how are you installing them?
  3. Giclée springs to mind as the obvious choice for top quality art prints. The size of a limited edition is up to the artist, but the price of each print will depend not only on that size but also on the value attached to the particular artist’s work.
  4. Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @jo smith. Do you still have a note of your PagePlus X7 product key? If you do, it should be possible to arrange for a copy of the installer to be made available to you. Once you’ve (re)installed PPX7, you can open your old project files and publish to PDF, and then open the PDF files in Affinity Publisher (or Designer or Photo).
  5. A shamrock is similar to a three-leaf clover. You already know how to draw a four-leaf clover, so you just need to omit one of the leaves. For the two-tone effect, duplicate the entire design, shrink the duplicate and recolour it.
  6. DrawPlus, which was Serif’s previous (Windows only) hybrid vector/raster drawing application, has a very capable Blend Tool.
  7. You should be able to select (or deselect) additional (or unwanted) objects/layers via the Layers panel.
  8. Semi-skimmed is exactly what its name suggests: its fat content is halfway between that of skimmed milk and full-fat milk.
  9. Wow, manuka honey! Aren’t we getting fancy!! On a side note, I seriously doubt that I could ever pour anything “tenderly” from a four-litre carton.
  10. Do you doubt that it isn’t on the radar, or that it is on the radar? It seems to me that it’s highly unlikely to be on Serif’s radar unless and until Adobe takes the unusual step of publishing details of the file format.
  11. If the problem is purely caused by JavaScript being disabled, a ‘<noscript>’ tag element can be included in the HTML code to tell the user that JS needs to be enabled. However, I’m aware that the scenario under discussion may be more complex than that.
  12. The legibility of light grey on a dark grey background is (as you would expect) not great, but it’s good enough that I can not only read the word ‘Rectangle’ but also see that the descender of the ‘g’ is clipped. Not ideal! By the way, JPG isn’t ideal for screenshots where text is included (because of the compression artefacts that you get around hard edges). PNG is much clearer, and it will probably give you smaller file sizes for screenshots of dialogs.
  13. If I hadn’t had problems with adding links, I would have been ahead of Walt!
  14. To find your recent posts, visit your profile page. Press the ‘See their activity’ button on that page to see all of your posts.
  15. They aren’t! That’s exactly my point: if the iPad apps had all the features that their Windows counterparts have, plus gestures that the Windows apps don’t have, how could the price differential be justified?
  16. How would it be fair for desktop users to get no extra features and no touch controls when they’re paying more than three times as much for the desktop version of the app?
  17. Is the nature of the required result such that you can’t duplicate the original 11 times to create a set of twelve, and then group that set and duplicate the group 9 times to create a set of ten (i.e. ten groups of twelve, for a total of 120 copies of the original)?
  18. The installation is multilingual. You can switch to another supported user interface language (via the General Preferences settings) at any time.
  19. I imagine that @SFurniss or one of his colleagues will be able to advise you.
