    APh = Affinity Photo. You should see that in a tooltip if you hover over it in a desktop browser. AD = Affinity Designer; APub or APu = Affinity Publisher.

    I’m pretty sure the Affinity workbooks were created in PagePlus, Serif’s older and more mature DTP software. The first version of Affinity Publisher didn’t have suitable features for consolidating chapters written by multiple authors.

    The name “AI” doesn’t strike me as even remotely childish. It literally stands for “Artificial Intelligence”, as distinct from real intelligence: that’s what the Turing Test is all about.

    I imagine that many people will open the thread with the expectation that the poem will be visible on the web page, and that upon seeing the words they decide that understanding the poem would require time and effort that they’re unwilling to devote to the task.

    If you’re connecting via a VPN, try switching it off.

    A good suggestion, as long as the original file doesn’t contain any editable text. Text in an Affinity file is rasterized on export to PSD, so it will no longer be editable when the PSD file is reopened in an Affinity app.

    Most of the files are listed as ‘Nul kB’, so it’s hardly surprising that there’s nothing to see!

    The silly thing is, “Initializing” is perfectly acceptable in British English. In fact, it’s the preferred spelling for Oxford Dictionaries.

    The problem is that there doesn’t seem to be a Preferences setting to keep it hidden until further notice.

    I suspect that a ‘g’ would have a curved descender like that of the ‘y’, but I agree with you. The difference between the caps height and the x-height in the current font is so small that ‘a’ and ‘d’ (and ‘h’ and ‘n’) are just barely distinguishable from each other. @SarahK Here’s a possible alternative for your consideration: https://www.fontspace.com/mystyle-font-f19184 The ‘mystyle’ font is free for personal and commercial use.
