Anisotropic diffusion
Alfred replied to FrM's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
APh = Affinity Photo. You should see that in a tooltip if you hover over it in a desktop browser. AD = Affinity Designer; APub or APu = Affinity Publisher. -
This thread is about saving to external drives, so your post about lack of Unicode support for Bangla doesn’t belong here. (None of the version 1 Affinity apps offer Unicode support for any Indic languages, and that hasn’t changed for version 2).

According to his forum profile, Norbert last visited in late March (i.e. nearly nine months ago). -
The name “AI” doesn’t strike me as even remotely childish. It literally stands for “Artificial Intelligence”, as distinct from real intelligence: that’s what the Turing Test is all about.

@Old Bruce, I read it exactly the same way! That’s why I attached a screenshot of the artist’s tweet where he wrote:

When will the launch offer end? (split)

The offer period was extended a few days ago. -
If the train has a code number, you can dispense with “Please consider a train.” and instead simply incorporate that number into the specific sentence; e.g.

How do you envision the sentence “Please consider a train.” being used?

I imagine that many people will open the thread with the expectation that the poem will be visible on the web page, and that upon seeing the words they decide that understanding the poem would require time and effort that they’re unwilling to devote to the task.

Can’t install fonts in Affinity publisher for iPad
Alfred replied to brandpreneur's topic in Affinity on iPad Questions
Most of the files are listed as ‘Nul kB’, so it’s hardly surprising that there’s nothing to see! -
Font missing from Affinity apps
Alfred replied to MichaelDaens's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Welcome back to the Serif Affinity Forums, Michael. What is the name of the font, and where did you download it from? -
The silly thing is, “Initializing” is perfectly acceptable in British English. In fact, it’s the preferred spelling for Oxford Dictionaries.

I know, but that clearly doesn’t suit everybody! -

The problem is that there doesn’t seem to be a Preferences setting to keep it hidden until further notice. -
Text Prints Very Bold
Alfred replied to SarahK's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
I suspect that a ‘g’ would have a curved descender like that of the ‘y’, but I agree with you. The difference between the caps height and the x-height in the current font is so small that ‘a’ and ‘d’ (and ‘h’ and ‘n’) are just barely distinguishable from each other. @SarahK Here’s a possible alternative for your consideration: https://www.fontspace.com/mystyle-font-f19184 The ‘mystyle’ font is free for personal and commercial use.- 9 replies
