That’s correct. If you bought the app via the Mac App Store it wouldn’t work on an iPad, and if you bought the app via the iPad App Store it wouldn’t work on a Mac.

Thanks, @Callum, but I’m a little surprised that you didn’t find the issue already logged. It’s certainly been raised on these forums several times before.

VDL-LogoMaru-pop is an Adobe typeface, only available via a Creative Cloud subscription. How did you add the fonts?

Most fonts benefit from having an ‘fi’ and other standard ligatures. I’m a little surprised not to see an ‘ffi’ ligature in action here.

They do scale if you want them to! Check the ‘Scale with Object’ option in the Stroke panel.

I have to say that “a somewhat something route” is a rather delightful phrase! All I meant is that although your original post has a PDF attachment that you presumably created by exporting from an Affinity app, the subsequent discussion about learning Welsh is unrelated to that app. So I gather from the link that you provided. I don’t claim to be a linguist, either, but the term “voiced” refers to the use of the vocal cords. If you articulate a ‘c’ or ‘g’ your tongue meets the roof of your mouth in the same way, and the only reason the end result is different is that you vibrate your vocal cords to produce the ‘g’ sound: the ‘c’ doesn’t involve vibration of the vocal cords, so it’s termed “voiceless”. Similarly, ‘b’ is the voiced counterpart to the voiceless ‘p’, and ‘d’ is the voiced counterpart to the voiceless ‘t’.

This is off topic for these forums, and as such it would probably be better discussed in the thread to which you referred previously: (What the BBC Bitesize page refers to as ‘soft mutation’ seems to be largely a voiced/voiceless distinction.)

The problem seems to be that Serif doesn’t want to charge different prices for Mac App Store and Microsoft Store customers, so they set the Affinity Store price to be the same. They know who their own direct customers are, of course, so they could easily offer them an exclusive upgrade discount, but they don’t have any way of offering the same discount to MAS and MS Store customers.

Also crashes for me in AD version 2.0.4.5 on iPadOS 15.7.3.

Just as an FYI, your (Full HD?) video doesn’t display on my humble iPad Air 2.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Losio. Which version of iPadOS are you using, and on which model of iPad? I can switch to the Polish keyboard here, but since I can ‘long-press’ for access to characters such as ę, ń, and ż there is no real need for me to switch from the English (UK) keyboard that I generally use.

For the sake of clarity, I believe you meant to type:

Tap on the Designer icon (top left) to display the Persona menu. In the Export persona, tap on the the ellipsis (‘…’) or the ‘hamburger’ icon for further options.

If you didn’t install the font, it isn’t hugely surprising that the app reported it as missing when trying to use it!
