  1. The thing that’s throwing it off is the stroke at the bottom of the ‘Q’, so a simple workaround would be to align the tops of the letters instead of the bottoms.
  2. Uncheck the ‘Contiguous’ option in the Context toolbar. (You can also use ‘Add’ mode to add to the selection that you’ve already made.)
  3. No, the two versions should happily coexist.
  4. Never mind the Member Title! You may recall that I went through a phase of calling myself ‘αℓƒяє∂’ on here.
  5. That was my immediate reaction, too! What about Œ, as in Œdipus Rex?
  6. Thanks, Lee. It might help if I could read!
  7. I think the problem is that it’s the developer who makes that choice, not the user. Couldn’t we have a Preferences setting for this, so that those of us who are happy with the current implementation could continue to use it, but there would be an alternative for those like @CM0 who want it to work differently?
  8. What about sandboxing? My understanding is that the MAS version of Affinity Photo doesn’t play well with some Photoshop-compatible plugins.
  9. If it hasn’t been converted to curves you’ll be able to select and copy the text in your PDF viewer. In Publisher, make sure you haven’t applied any filter effects such as a drop shadow, and review the settings displayed when you click on the ‘More…’ button in the Export dialog.
  10. Where you can download it depends on where you bought it. In your case, since you purchased from the Affinity Store you can simply choose the appropriate one of the following links: https://store.serif.com/update/macos/photo/1 https://store.serif.com/update/windows/photo/1
  11. Welcome back to the Serif Affinity Forums, Paul. Check that the text isn’t being converted to curves on export. That’s a common reason for ballooning PDF file sizes.
  12. You and I may have no need for it in Photo, but it could be useful to some people! If it’s created as an editable object, it will be easy to hide or delete it (or set a general preference for it not to appear) where it’s unwanted.
  13. Thanks, Walt. I overlooked the fact that this is a desktop thread: there’s nothing like that in the iPad apps.
  14. I’ve never seen such a popup, as far as I’m aware. Does it always appear for you?
  15. Doesn’t the one in DrawPlus simply make a vector shape based on the colour boundaries in the bitmap image? Unless I’m misremembering, it doesn’t actually create a fill based on that image.
  16. Thanks, Walt. I don’t seem them in my Affinity Store account, so maybe I need to (re)apply.
  17. When did you get info about the iPad betas, Walt? I own all three apps, but TestFlight currently only shows me the 2.1.0 customer beta for APub.
