    A pencil, V1 V2 or something else?

Screen recording of it happening? Easy to create if you havn’t done so before and very informative compared to ping pong posts.

I don’t think I’ve ever initiated a screen recording via the Settings app! I just swipe down from the top right-hand corner of the screen to display the Control Centre, and then tap on the Screen Recording icon there.

The Windows 11 footer bar stays on screen while the Affinity programs are running. I do not remember whether that happened with Windows 10.

Do you have any ideas on what is causing the clipping please?

Sorry, William, I lost track of this thread! Please try Lee’s suggestion.

I presume that the “footer bar” to which you refer is commonly known as the “taskbar”. You can set it to autohide on Windows 10 (so that it slides out of view until you mouse over the bottom edge of the screen); I imagine the same applies to Windows 11.

Sorry for not replying, I thought the thread was over so have not visited here for a while.

You can create a custom activity stream to cater for that scenario:

    1. Go to ‘Activity > My Activity Streams’.

    2. Press the ‘Create New Stream’ button.

    3. Type something meaningful into the Stream Title box.

    4. Change the Read Status setting to ‘Content I haven’t read’.

    5. Change the Following setting to ‘Only content I follow’.

    6. Press ‘Save Changes’ (near the bottom of the page).

Your chosen stream title will now appear under Custom Streams in the ‘My Activity Streams’ menu.

The files you really need to save, though, are the ones that show on the application Home Screen. Those aren't anywhere in the real file system.

Those files are only in the application sandbox. They can be retained if you offload the app, but if you delete the app the entire sandbox area will be cleared out and any files only stored there will be deleted permanently.

first of all, no idea where to post this really, this is one the few forums that was enabled to select and seemed relevant.

    I'm on iPad Affinity Designer.

Wanted to draw something then join some strokes but every other time I did that, the app crashed without saving. Very annoying, please fix that!

I updated my iPad version but issue remained.

You’re reporting a bug in Designer v1 on iPad, so the ‘Designer V1 Bugs on iPad’ section is exactly the right place!

Then wanted  to update the app version (usually you do that first, I know) but the app is up-to-date? I actually found Affinity Designer 2 in the app store, don't know what that it. Why is that not replacing my version?

Designer v2 is an upgrade, not an update, so it’s a separate purchase. Version 1 will continue to function, so there’s no need to upgrade if you don’t want to do so.

I, and I guess many more Affinity fans, would like to have [a graph-making] possibility within Designer.

This sounds more like a Publisher thing, but we can always hope!

Make it possible to link the graph to specific content in Excel or Numbers, and you have a winner.

Have you tried copying a graph from Excel or Numbers and pasting it into an Affinity document?

Honestly what I'd expect is that if I type fire with automatic ligatures both the f and i were replaced by the joined ligature. Sort of like autocorrect. But I'm no expert with regards to the consequences that could have.

One consequence is that editing could be marginally more complicated. Suppose, for example, that you had intended to type “fury” but accidentally hit the i key instead of the u key; an automatic fi ligature in the typed text would mean that you’d have to correct “fi” to “fu” instead of simply replacing one letter.

The currency shown on the site will default to that of your location.

It is not possible to change the currency that you see in the store.

The currency shown on the site will default to that of your perceived location. I once had the weird experience of seeing prices in the Affinity Store with the currency set to Turkish Lira (TRY) instead of British Pound (GBP), but the problem went away when I switched off my VPN.
