  1. Please make friends with the Snipping Tool or Snip & Sketch instead of pointing a digital camera at the screen. You’ll get clearer images and they’ll have smaller file sizes.
  2. You don’t need to keep track! Visit your profile page to view your activity, or simply do a search for 16 bit cmyk (which, according to @Old Bruce, is sufficient in this particular case, but if it weren’t you could narrow it down via ‘More search options > Search By Author’).
  3. I think you mean tailwind! A headwind holds you back. Every time I use Inkscape I’m reminded of how horrible its UI is for such a feature-rich application. Vectorstyler is pretty amazing, given that it’s developed by a one-man band.
  4. The problem with automatic saves, incremental or otherwise, is that they have a horrible habit of kicking in at the most inconvenient moment. It might be helpful to have an implementation where the user is prompted to choose whether to allow the save to proceed or to postpone it.
  5. Welcome back, Simon! I’m not a Mac user, so I’m not in a position to comment on the ‘low accuracy’ setting, but I think it’s reasonable to assume that the ‘Windows Ink’ setting is specific to Windows. What ‘tablet input method’ options do you see, if any?
  6. An A4 portrait page is 210 mm wide by 297 mm high, so for a row of three pictures you need each one to be no more than 70 mm wide (and each row must be no more than 74 mm high). If you’re using an A4 landscape page, the maximum width becomes 99 mm and the maximum height becomes 52.5 mm. Create a new A4 document, place the 12 pictures on the page at the desired size, and use the Move Tool to arrange them in a pleasing layout.
  7. Probably because he’s in a different time zone and it was too early for him to react when @PaulEC did (about two hours ago).
  8. From the linked thread, there was some missing ‘mimetype’ information:
  9. That’s an obvious inference to make, but it seems to be at odds with this:
  10. What layer(s) did you have selected when you tried it? When I open the file (in AD2 on iPad, since that’s what I’m using at the moment) I see a parent ‘Image’ layer with a ‘path446’ child layer and two others. The ‘Divide’ operation isn’t available for the parent/container layer, but it works as expected if I select the ‘path446’ (unicorn) child layer; the other child layers are just simple unclosed curves.
  11. It sounds as though you’ve just invented it! Perhaps you could explain what you have in mind.
  12. I was about to suggest creating a set of styles, but that would apply a colour. I presume you only want to apply a preset stroke width.
  13. Judging by the many uncomplimentary posts to these forums, Affinity Consternations would probably attract a much larger audience!
  14. From the Commands (three-bar ‘hamburger’) menu, choose ‘Defaults > Synchronize from Selection’, followed by ‘Defaults > Save’ if you want the setting to persist for use in other documents.
  15. It’s not representative of the actual screen resolution on an iPad Mini, but it’s standard for process colour printing. Sometimes a higher resolution is used, for example when printing things like maps.
  16. Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @daizhuo. It seems to have been moved to the correct place already. Line widths should be displayed either in points or document units, depending on your ‘Interface’ preferences (via the Settings gearwheel). If you’re seeing pixels, you need to change the document units via the Context toolbar option offered by the ‘Resize’ command.
  17. If you already have the desired layout on a regular page, couldn’t you simply copy the objects, create a new (blank) master page and then paste the copied content onto it?
  18. Only moderators can delete posts, but ordinary users like you and me can hide them. However, as Garry has pointed out, threads such as this one might help other users (and I’m not even sure that you can hide a thread after your original post has had replies, since that would hide other users’ posts from everyone except the moderators, effectively deleting them).
  19. Affinity Designer 2 Help: Symbols Affinity Spotlight: How to use Symbols in Affinity Designer 2
  20. Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Mike. Hardly a waste of time if it did what you needed it to do! Not bad at all, although I have to wonder why the copyright symbol © is superscripted like that in the ITC Bradley Hand font. <pedantry> Flickr, not Flicker </pedantry> Nice Strelitzia, by the way.
  21. Please say that again, slowly! (I suspect that autocarrot jumped in and trampled all over whatever you were trying to type.)
  22. One metre is 39.37 inches, so at 300 pixels per inch on any device that’s 39.37 × 300 = 11811 pixels. (The screen resolution for iPad Mini 5 and iPad Mini 6 is actually 326 ppi, which makes a metre work out as a rather awkward 12834.62 pixels.)
