Macecraft made Jv16 powertools.. They  got tired of developing and it floated for a while. Then he came back with a crowd funding scheme that collected the money up front. They never reached the goals

However he did resurrect the product and start working on it again. If you contributed $10 o more you received a license for the software. They are not a dishonest bunt BTW. If you want to read it, it is further down this page
