  1. I'm afraid I don't know what the term "MAS" means? Is there anything I should be doing or concerned about, other than just upgrading to the next software update whenever it gets released?
  2. Hi MEB, Brilliant! Fantastically helpful, once again. The only difference is that, when I tried it, the nodes changed to magenta circles, rather than yellow, but hey, it works perfectly! I will pass this knowledge on to a fellow AD user, who will be very glad to have a solution to this little conundrum. :) Thanks so much for your prompt assistance. :)
  3. Hello, Can anyone tell me how to join/link two adjacent "closed curves/shapes" to create a third, separately fillable zone/curve? I have a lot to learn. I hope the attached imaged illustrates what I am trying to achieve. Many thanks, if you can help.
  4. So much to learn!

  5. Oops! Thought I'd forgotten to click "post" on the last post, so ignore this posting as I'm not sure how to remove it
  6. Ok, great. Sounds like you're getting to the bottom of the problem, and that hopefully I'll be able to continue with the protection and peace of mind that using Avast brings me. I would be glad of an update if the problem with Avast turns out not be resolvable. Thanks again.
  7. Yeah, I'm using Avast Mac Security (free version), and of course I have the standard Yosemite Firewall turned on, as is pretty much default. Do you think that Avast might be causing a problem? I'm now assuming that not all users are having the same problems with the Help TOC then?
  8. Yey! MEB, it worked! I now have AD 1.2 :D Thanks for all your help, advice and patience. Sadly the Table of Contents Help Menu issue still remains unresolved. I was hoping it would be fixed in the new update :(. I hope you guys can get to the bottom of it soon, as it hinders the learning curve somewhat. davidpwrmc, Thanks for the kind and supportive comments. Glad you didn't mind me interjecting, and glad you are also up and running now, thanks to MEB. Happy graphicing, Bean Boy
  9. MEB, I have followed your instructions using Terminal and rebooted my Mac, but the App Store is still showing AD 1.2 as installed, and AD is still only launching as the 1.1.2 version. The only difference I can think of is that I haven't dragged my existing AD app to the trash first. A new com.apple.appstore folder has shown up in Terminal since the reboot, but it hasn't worked for me unfortunately. Any thoughts please?
  10. MEB, I have tried your suggestion regarding Launchpad, which has made no difference, my AD will not update itself. Sorry davidpwrmc, I didn't mean to highjack your thread but I think that this is probably all part of the same fundamental issue.
  11. This is very concerning. I also attempted to update from the Mac App Store, which is now flagging the 1.2 update as installed, but I am still only able to open Affinity Designer as the 1.1.2 version I had originally purchased. I initially bought Affinity Designer on the strength of it's great reviews and 'imminently arriving' text on a path feature (amongst others like the corner tool, etc), as I really need these features for packaging and logo design projects. I was also hoping for a resolution to the 'disappearing' unaccessible Table of Contents Help Menu with this update. This is all s
  12. Hi MEB, Thanks for the info regarding this problem. I'm glad to know that the anomaly is not generated at my end. Please keep me posted regarding a solution to this problem, as I will struggle to master this potentially excellent application without being able to work through all the help resources. Thanks
  13. Hi MEB, Thanks for the rapid response :-). I am running Yosemite 10.10.2 on a mid 2007 20-inch iMac (2.4 GHz intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB 667 MHz DDR@ SDRAM). Access to the contents menu in Affinity Designer Help is absolutely crucial, in terms of learning all the functionality and capabilities of AD. I don't know if this is in anyway relevant, but I dragged the trial application to the trash after installing/downloading the full paid version. As Apple App Store should have recorded my purchase, is there some way I could try dragging the full version of Affinity Designer to the trash and
  14. Hi, I have just installed the full Affinity Designer software today but can no longer get the Help Table of Contents Menu to display as it did in the trail version. It flashes up for a nano second and then disappears when the Table of Contents button is clicked. I have run a permissions repair and restarted my Mac to no avail. Can anyone help a newbie on a steep learning curve please. Should I try reinstalling AD perhaps? Many thanks if you can help...
