    Hi GabrielM, OMG, you are totally awesome...It took me a lil while to figure out what I was doing wrong. I was putting a box around the objects that I wanted to copy and paste. But it seems like you have to go into the layers panel and picked the layers, copy and paste. Thank you so much, you are a life saver.

    Please help....New to Affinity. I am trying to copy my illustration from one file to another. But when I go to paste it doesn't remember layers. Illustrator has a remember layers option. Is there one available in Affinity Designer? I've tried all the paste options under edit. Nothing!!! Checked the Layers panel, nothing.
