    Hi Paul,

Thanks - I can reproduce that here - it looks like the Vector Brush is wanting a single colour rather than a gradient, so it keeps trying to select the white for some reason. If you select the Gradient Tool once you've drawn the object you should be able to apply the gradient without the flickering. I'll get it passed on over.

    Hello Everyone !
Talking about Fonts; it would be great and really helpful if Serif could add a functionality that allows us to Preview - Select and install font from Google Fonts website thus closing the gap.
I know that many here and over the web love it when things are managed from on place, also a Font pair capability would be welcome too !
Just these two can make the Affinity line go up to where others have never stepped before but also draw more Designer whom work is specialy font based like Chris Do etc...
Dev's and Managing team should think about this and take note of it.

Unfortunately I'm unable to reproduce this either - does this happen for some of the Assets in the iOS 12 category? Could you get a screen recording demonstrating the behaviour you're getting along with attaching the associated pack if it is a custom one?

Thanks @Kshitij Sharma, I can't reproduce on my system here, so may be related to driver version, or the hardware.
I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with driver version 456.81.
You have an NVIDIA Quadro P1000 with driver version 452.57.
Could you try uninstalling your graphics drivers, and then downloading and installing the latest drivers from NVIDIA? For reference, the latest available drivers are 461.40 (https://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/driverResults.aspx/170163/en-uk). I'd be interested to know whether that fixes it for you.

    Status: Beta
    Purpose: Fixes
    Requirements: Purchased Affinity Publisher
    Windows Store: Not Submitted
    Download: Download
    Auto-update: Available
    ---
We are pleased to announce that Affinity Publisher Customer Beta 1.9.1.967 is now available as a download from the link above.
If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app, it’s worth noting that the beta will install as a separate app - alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry.
This beta is an incremental update from the 1.9.0 version recently released to all customers (although it still installs parallel to the released version, as described above). We recommend that you use this beta in preference to the store version if you are affected by any of the issues listed below.
    ---
    Fixes

    General
Fixes to mitigate issues with hardware acceleration on some systems
    Document Loading
Fixed possible crash when opening files with iCloud based image resources
Fix for documents failing to load due to infinite loop with Constraints and certain document structures
Fixed potential hang while composing text in text frames with non-default Vertical Alignment
    Import / Export / Resources
Fix for performance problems when placing an asset which contains images
PDF set for Passthrough crops incorrectly
PDF Export - Fixed crash exporting file with Bookmarks
Updating images via Resource Manager was resetting scale
Resource Manager now sorts by page number
    Text
Spelling applied through Paragraph style only takes effect after re-applying the style
Pressing delete whilst unlinking frames causes a crash
Fixed possible crash when inserting a TOC

I have the 5700 XT here, and it is taking 10X longer to initialise OpenCL kernels in comparison to equivalent hardware from NVIDIA. This is causing huge delays when opening files, moving sliders, etc.

I have reported the issue to AMD, and I’m awaiting a response. This won’t be a permanent solution, but is intended to solve the huge amounts of reports that we have from Radeon RX owners.

    and
Please be assured that release build 1.9.1 is not likely to be the last 1.9.x release. However our customers are absolutely desperate for some of the important fixes that it already contains. Most users do not know about the beta forums or beta builds and are struggling to use 1.9.0, so we absolutely must roll 1.9.1 out very soon without holding it up. We will check for major regressions over 1.9.0 but those would be the only reason I can suggest for not releasing 1.9.1 very soon

I am proposing the feature to import 3D models (.fbx, .obj, etc) !
The inclusion of this feature has the following advantages:
    1) Unrivalled spectacularity.
    2) Dramatically lower RAM usage and produced file size.
    3) Endless abilities for in-place model transformation.
IMHO a must-have for every serious DTP software from now on !

    Hi again,
Further to the other things, we are looking to add more support for game art users - can't promise this for 1.9 but we are working on it..

(I have two documents open here - you can see the texture itself, the other document is the normal map - both are being edited and a realtime preview is being rendered on a .obj model in the new Model panel).
    Thanks,
    Andy.

Unfortunately from what I can tell looking at it's datasheet this card does not support DirectX Hardware Feature Level 12 and therefore cannot be used for OpenCL. If you go into DXDIAG you can see what feature levels are supported:
