@MattP and @Patrick Connor thanks for your answers.
No worry, i have time and i will load them manually one by one and see how it works but would first like to say BIG THANKS for Paolo Limonceli brushes and the way you actually implemented them, they work just like a charm, i'm now impatient to load the one i got from @Frankentoon and play with.
Blessings !

Status: Public Beta
Purpose: Stability and General Testing
Requirements: Mac OS 10.9 or above
Hi, Publisher build 174 is now available, either on auto-update or as a manual download from the link above.
As this is a beta it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity where you may be adversely affected by the application failing, including the total loss of any documents.
We hope you enjoy the product, and as always, if you've got any problems installing or running up, please don't hesitate to post in this thread.
Any problems actually using this version please make a new topic in this forum and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Please feel free to leave general suggestions and comments in the Discussion Forum. Many thanks for your continued feedback.

Nice work but I have a question: Why do you convert files to CMYK and work in that colour space? There are no CMYK monitors, you are limiting your colour space by millions of colours. Work in sRGB and let printers covert it to whatever they need as you never know what print process they are using (they might print in CMYKGO for example). If you create poster in CMYK and send it to print on 8 colours inkjet you are loosing a lot. Stick to sRGB

NoVa_KC - no, there’s more people coding than me, but I’m the guy who would need to code the features mentioned above

The RELEASE build will pick up all your brushes and palettes, but with sandboxing this beta only picks up the brushes and palettes from the last beta release on your machine !
Anything else is quite hard
(Should have pressed submit before I drove home!, Thanks Matt)

Status: Beta
Purpose: Features, Improvements, Fixes
Requirements: Purchased Affinity Photo
Mac App Store: Not submitted
Download: Download
Hello,
We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of the first beta of Affinity Photo 1.7 for macOS.
Photo 1.7 is a (very) significant change to the currently shipping 1.6 version, so, as ever, I would strongly urge users to avoid the 1.7 beta for critical work. This is especially true as this is the first of many beta builds we will release before 1.7 ships. Things will be broken in this build - please use it to explore the new features and not for real work.
If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app, it’s worth noting that the beta will install as a separate app - alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry.
It’s also worth noting that we aren’t done yet - we are still working through reported bugs from previous releases and hope to fix as many as possible before the final release of 1.7.
With all that said, we hope that you will enjoy the new capabilities introduced in this initial release and we look forward to any and all feedback you give to us.
Many thanks (as always),
Affinity Photo Team
Affinity Photo 1.7 - Changes Since Last 1.6 Release
Performance
- The core processing engine in Affinity Photo has been rewritten to take advantage of the powerful discrete AMD GPUs in modern Mac hardware. It will now automatically use any compatible discrete GPU, alongside the Intel GPU support present in 1.6. Typically this improves compositing / editing performance by at least 1000%. Performance when using integrated Intel GPUs has also been massively improved.
- External GPUs (eGPU) are also supported - including hot-plug-and-unplug support.
- Multiple GPUs are supported - if you have more than 1 GPU (ie. Intel + AMD in MacBook Pro, or Intel + eGPU in other Macs) Photo will use them all, at the same time, to improve performance. There is no limit to the number of GPUs which can be used.
Brushes
- Photo 1.7 introduces a new “sub-brush” mechanism, developed in conjunction with Paolo Limoncelli (DAUB® Brushes). This exciting feature allows any brush to have a list of other brushes attached which will draw at the same time. Each sub-brush has a fully separate and customisable set of dynamics. You can control when the sub-brushes are drawn and how they blend with the main brush.
- The brush engine in Photo has been rewritten to use the new GPU architecture described above. With GPU support, even huge brushes with 1% spacing will perform well. All brushes / brush tools are accelerated.
- Symmetry (up to 32-way) is now supported - including on-canvas controls and optional mirroring. We have more symmetry features on the way - so stay tuned during the beta process.
- Wet edges and accumulation are now available on colour brushes and brushes with HSL variance.
- Brushes with multiple nozzle textures have always chosen the nozzle at random. In 1.7, the nozzle choice has a dynamic controller and ramp for greater control.
- All brush tools now support left and right arrow keys for rotation - a common feature request
RAW
- The RAW processing engine in Photo has been rewritten - producing better results and improved performance. It also takes advantage of the GPU architecture changes described above.
- RAW files now load much more quickly - especially if you have a compatible GPU.
- Reimplemented support for XTrans sensors.
- The denoise algorithm has been rewritten. It produces better results and takes advantage of the new GPU architecture.
- Hot pixel removal is now automatically performed by the Serif Labs engine.
- Profiled lens correction are more stable, apply more quickly, and can be toggled in the Develop UI.
- The histogram in the Develop persona is now presented in the output colour space - as opposed to always being linear.
Filters
- New “Procedural Texture” filter with advanced presets support.
- New “Voronoi” filter.
- Denoise, Clarity and Shadows / Highlights filters have been rewritten (using technology from the Develop Persona).
- More filters are now available as Live Filters - including the new Procedural Texture filter.
- Live filters have been rewritten to improve performance - especially when multiple filters are used in a document.
- Improved Polar to Rectangular and Rectangular to Polar filters.
Adjustments
- The HSL adjustment layer has been rewritten. It now supports custom hue ranges, a new algorithm, new UI and picker controls.
- The Levels adjustment layer now supports output levels - a common feature request.
- The White Balance adjustment layer has been rewritten.
- The Selective Colour adjustment layer has been rewritten.
- PSD import / export of adjustments has been improved.
- The Vibrance adjustment layer has been rewritten.
- The Recolour adjustment layer has gained a lightness slider.
Tools
- The Crop tool has been rewritten - it now supports resolution changes, absolute pixel size and has a much improved preset mechanism.
- The Sponge Brush tool now gives more correct / pleasant results.
- A general tools overhaul has been performed - providing editing of grids, guides, page origin, across multiple tools (not just in the Move tool)
General
- “Alternate futures” for document history have been added. Traditionally, if you roll back the undo history then do something else all your changes after that point are lost. Photo will now display a small branch icon in the history tab when you do this. Pressing that button will cycle between all the different “futures” after that history entry - meaning you will never lose work you have done.
- HEIF images can now be loaded directly into Photo. If they contain a depth map, this will also be loaded as a second layer. Because depth maps are typically lower resolution than the main image, optional “smart” upsampling will be performed.
- A large number of new cameras are supported for RAW development (we will provide a list of the new supported cameras as soon as possible!).
- The batch process dialog now fully supports expressions for height and width - available constants are “w”, “h” and “dpi”.
- Photo now supports custom document presets - a popular feature request.
- A new blend mode - Linear Burn - has been added.
- New “Move inside / outside” commands have been added - useful for quick operations on clipping masks etc.
- The Hard Mix blend mode has been improved.
- New provider options have been added to the stock panel - support for Unsplash and Pexels. Both of these providers offer full-resolution stock imagery which is free to use.
- Metadata is now dynamically synchronised with your document - so if you resize then export, the values will be correct.
- Numerous text improvements have been made - including new features.
- Significant PDF import / export improvements and fixes.
- Numerous other bug fixes - too many to list!

I have tried, several times.
With help from a Linux enthusiast, about ten years back, I got Mint to work on a couple of PCs. Tried to get it to work with my printers. = Lots of pain and frustration. Tried to get it to work with a card to run CCTV cameras = lots of pain and frustration but did work on the internet.
About 2 years back I did install Mint as a dual boot system on a laptop for my daughter. No pain, still working !
About 6 months back I tried to install Linux on a decent spec PC for a mate. = hours of pain and frustration. Would not run due to Nvidia card. Tried another distro, = more pain and frustration, tried Ubuntu, got it to work (mostly) but wi-fi wouldn't. That was not a huge issue as we just ran a long cable and plugged it in. = small pain.
Over that 10 year period, I have bought, used and upgraded a dozen Windows PCs (mostly for full time professional use) and each one was literally plug and play and has given no trouble since. I gave the PCs they replaced to a local charity where they are still running Win 7 perfectly.
I don't like Windows 10 much but have 4 varied machines, including a brand new Acer laptop/tablet thing (which runs the full version of Affinity) running it. Each one worked out of the box and runs MS Office, Affinity etc perfectly and each one connected to my old printers (which Linux still can't) perfectly (plug and play). = No pain.
So why should I try yet another Linux distro that I know won't work on my printers and won't run Microsoft office (I need MS Access and Powerpoint) or Affinity?
Why are you trying to inflict all that pain on me, what have I ever done to you .
P.S. And what are you using to run your copies of Affinity software ?

Some years ago, I gave Linux a go and that was exactly my feeling. I couldn't even get wifi to work.
Now, anno 2018, I'm a big fan.
I installed Ubuntu Studio on several HP Probook laptops, it takes about 15 minutes, and everything works out of the box. Studio comes with all the typical open source graphical programmes pre installed (The Gimp, Darktable, RawTherapee etc). And many others.
Rather than cursing it, you should give it a try.

If at all possible files made now will open in the final released version, we just aren't promising it during the beta period while we are still implementing and testing new features.

I spent hours and failed miserably on a recent attempt. Mint simply would not work with the installed Nvidia card.
After a few hours of pain and frustration I managed to get Ubuntu to work. The third distro I tried !!!
Almost a whole day wasted and I needed a Windows PC to research the problem and download Ubuntu.
However, I admit that these days, I don't bother with old PCs.

Hello @AdamW as promised here is my impressions on this release of APub.
My experience in 12 steps :
1- APub .162 loads really faster than the previous builds which is better but i still think you can improve it even more.
2- I've loaded a project created with ADesigner weeks ago (business card project) and APub did the loading very fast even rendered the fonts, layers, blending, adjustment with ease and love
3- the pencil tool works well but I've found it lagging more than in previous version (here i did a test on empty project), please make smooth
4- The use of the sculpt tool is still a bit of misery while i know it"s of a good help, please share us a best practice video tuto so we can understand it.
5- But i noticed this when i check show bleeds then export the project in any format you may want it comes with a large squared white zone that i couldn't understand, my fix was to disabled show the bleed and un-check export with bleed for it to disappear; maybe i'm doing something wrong but i still need to figure it out.
6- I like the fact that the pages studio is hidden from loading the software it makes it better to the eyes and gives me choice to show or hide it only when I want.
7- APub is still lacking of a dedicated Export persona/Assistant and i have to go to the menu which is a lot of clicks if i compare with ADesigner and APhoto which makes it 1 click closer
8- APub still have the Margins checked by default when creating a new documents and it's set to 25mm, it's annoying because i then have to do another step to either remove it or set another margin, please fix it by disabling the default 25mm.
9- To me, there is no need of Ellipse frame tool in the toolbox, the squared frame tool corners can be rounded from the top menu if set to 50% rounding its become a circle/ellipse so !
10- i really like the new tool that appears when placing an image into a picture frame, it's refined and works like a charm, very helpful; allow fast zooming
11- Picture frame tool is not yet content aware and main subject is not yet detectable when doing that which leaves it manual only, allow us to have it Auto subject fit then if we want to re-position or skip the subject then we can do it manually.
12- Now my best one, the snapping works much much much better, because i don't often use guides, snapping is actually what i rely on for perfect alignments.
