As a hint: To attract more viewers you should make your topic title more meaningful, e.g. Affinity Photo freezing when loading more than 3 photos.

You mean there is no Ignore Text Wraps in the Text Frame panel for this text frame? That would be the only reason I know of currently. Could you upload a sample document?

Also possible, but not if you have a spleen like me wanting to keep it compact and clean. Another rectangle means another item in the Layers panel. ;)

Welcome to the Affinity forums @NatashaZ! What about an update to the latest version 1.9.3. Not sure if this version is significantly better selection-wise or you can try menu View >> View Mode >> Outline or the button from the top toolbar to make selections a bit easier.

As Inkscape refuses to open the AI, I am pretty sure, that the PDF stream is missing. Another option would to convert the AI to PDF e.g. on https://convertio.co I took your AI, converted and opened in AD and as far as I can tell it looks good. PDF is attached. MERC0283(1).pdf

The AI is nothing spectacular. The EPS and PDF are showing nothing for me. I opened the AI in Illu, adapted the canvas to the outer bounds of the drawings and saved it again with PDF stream (perhaps this part was missing?) and it opens fine now in AD. Corrected file attached. MERC0283-neu-kompress.ai

Perhaps there is something brought from AI to those files the Affinities are not able to understand. Have you tried to open the PDF to see if the result is better? Could you upload the AI / EPS / PDF?

Inspired from another post, where a forum member asked if it makes sense to turn off the Soft Proof Adjustment before print. I think it would be useful if preflight checks for Soft Proof Adjustments before export or print.

This one copied from the help files: "This adjustment allows you to preview different output options for your photo or design. It can also be used creatively for tonal effects. As it behaves like a standard adjustment layer, it must be hidden or removed before exporting or sending to print, otherwise its effect will be included in the output." So I would turn the adjustment off.

Yes, everything is looking good. Is it just me, that the font looks much better on a smartphone than on a monitor? I cannot remember whether the font used before looked so "rough" on a monitor.

The problem with borderless printing is known to the developers, so we hopefully could expect a fix in the next version. In the meantime I would export as PDF and print from a PDF Reader. And for completeness I attached a new version of your image, as there was something missing. ;)

No, you are not wrong. Unchecking would mean no bookmarks at all. I think you need to tidy your TOC to avoid those unnecessary entries. I did this by making a text style solely for the first entry into the TOC and not for the repeating ones. I hope this is understandable?

Welcome to the Affinity forums @Lionel Bessieres! Even with 106 pages I do not get over 3 (of 8 ) GB RAM. Perhaps experimenting with Preferences >> Performance >> RAM Usage Limit could help?

JPG does not support transparency, but through a research I do know what file formats Pinnacle 16 supports. So you can e.g. try GIF, PNG, PSD, TGA or TIF.
