  1. I am not sure, if this is a bug or a feature request. It seems to be point of definition what Passthrough means. For me Passthrough means: Do not touch the content of the PDF for display and export. Right now this is not true. When a PDF is placed having a form element, the form element will be shown after import. Exporting this document - regardless the PDF setting - the output will be cleared from the form element. I do not expect, that the form functionality is preserved (because the Affinities have no PDF form exporter), but the layout. Attached is a simple PDF with a checkbox. checkbox.pdf
  2. Welcome to the Affinity forums @Lukeage82! AFAIK ... no. But with some extra work, you can achieve this. You need to convert all images to a multipage PDF and then you can Add Pages from File within APu.
  5. As said, if you are on Mac you can use one the Markzware tool for QXP to IDML or make sure, that Illustrator files are saved with the PDF stream and Photoshop files are opening already quite reliable in Affinity Photo.
  6. Welcome to the Affinity forums @Les Johnson! I worked with Quark 30 years ago and I don't know if it possible to save as IDML or a similar exchange format. I guess Serif might be not interested to study a locked up format to make an importer. If you are lucky to work on Mac, then this is worth a try? https://markzware.com/products/qxpmarkz/
  7. Welcome to the Affinity forums @Paul Acket! Unfortunately Dutch is not available for the interface.
  8. Welcome to the Affinity forums @Kristen1985! As you see on your last screenshot parts of the bottom logo are out of the printable area. Often home printers are not able to print to the edge of a paper and they have a free area of approx. 5 mm (may area) which can't be printed to. In the Affinity application this is shown as a red dotted line. Workarounds: Position your logos a bit higher or at Fit Type instead of Scale use Shrink to Printable. The last option might be not the best for you as the printout will not be vertically and horizontally centered on the paper.
  9. Sorry, for not being explicit enough, as I thought "hamburger menu" is a well known term. Yes, those 3 vertical lines I call a "hamburger menu".
  10. Welcome to the Affinity forums @drdan53! Nothing I would say. Could you upload this RAW? Maybe it would help turning off hardware acceleration in Preferences >> Performance.
  11. This is one way: Right-click the RAW, select Open With, then Select other app. In opening dialogue pick the application you want and check the box to remember your decision. This is roughly translated, because I am on a German version.
  12. As thought. APu reads the Exif information for Orientation, which is right-top in this case and places it in landscape although it has to be portrait. Batch-Saving with e.g. XnViewMP changes the Exif information for Orientation to top-left. APu places this file correctly. @Migs As a workaround you can batch save your images to "correct" the images until this bug is hopefully fixed.
  13. I cannot use your attached images for testing purposes, because the forum software "repaired" the images during upload. Sorry for forgetting to tell. Best would be to zip the sample images and upload again.
  14. APu determines the orientation of the images by a parameter inside the image and ... fails ... sometimes. I do know, that the Affinities still have problems with images from smartphones, just to name one. Could you upload a wrong orientated image to verify? If my assumption is correct, then this thread should be moved to the bugs section.
  18. I add my vote for a visual indication of insets in text frames or tables.
  19. Turn off hardware acceleration in Preferences >> Performance and try if it is better now.
  21. Do you have an example of how it should look like? To me it sounds like adding a coloured vector element with a Gaussian Blur effect applied to it. But I can be wrong ... most of the time.
