Welcome to the Affinity forums @András Hideg!
Rasterise and Trim the layers with the images and export then. For me it took about 3 minutes. BTW how did you add the images to the document?

Preflight immediately shows a message that PDF 1.7 is incompatible and will be rasterized.
What is Preflight is telling you, is based on its setting. Just change the compatiblilty level to something else (e.g. PDF 1.7) in your preflight profile. For the crash, a crash report or the PDF causing this would be helpful for the developers.

Works here:
When the stroke is aligned to centre, but not to inside or outside.

As a side note, The beta app Vectorstyler will create strokes with arrowheads and can expand the stroke and the arrowhead.
Affinity can too, when the stroke is aligned to the centre. As a side note: Is the alignment not useless on the shown example anyway? I can see no difference after I change the alignment, except when it comes to expanding the stroke.

Welcome to the Affinity forums @Nails!
Affinity Publisher is able to open IDML (open XML) and not INDD (locked format). Additionally markzware.com has a tool for Mac to convert from INDD to IDML.

AP doesn't have exclusive use of the GPU - it's still being used to drive the monitor?
Was this an answer or a question? Moving the mouse (View Tool) within AP gives me 27%, with AP closed an overall maximum of 17%. Maybe I just don't have to worry about these things, instead I should be lucky that it is working without a problem.

You have to drag the second handle bottom right being a bit away from the selection.

Stupid question perhaps (in any case?)? Generally I guess / know that hardware acceleration is making calculations faster, which is a good thing. So based on the AP benchmark test I get the value N/A for anything with (Single GPU) when Hardware Acceleration is off in Preferences >> Performance. Sounds logically ...
Does this literally mean, that GPU is not used in any calculation? I am just wondering, that the Windows Task Manager shows activity in the GPU column, although hardware acceleration is off.
Any (easy) explanation for me?

Is there a way of forcing this in the Affinity software?
You are talking about Affinity software? Which application are you using? APhoto? ADesigner? APublisher? If it is Affinity Photo you can place each PDF upon another, just make sure in menu Document >> Transparent Background is ticked. Could you provide some sample to test my "thesis"?

Currently there is no automated workflow, but Scripting / Automation is a much wanted feature. Perhaps this will come in a later version.

Here it is. I'm curious to see what you find.
Nothing wrong I would say. File prints wrong on my side too. Converting the text to curves would be a workaround or printing from a PDF. AD or better the print engine seems to be unable to compute such large font sizes correctly.

DMG file in my browser
Welcome to the Affinity forums @jacobmeese!
A DMG is for installing on Mac, so I fear you bought the wrong product. So ask Serif for refunding and buying the correct version.

Really successful technology - currently turning it off is the cure for most Affinity problems 🙂
If I am not wrong, most problems appear on Windows?!? I guess it could be easier developing for Mac instead of developing for (nearly) endless hardware configurations on Windows. For safety reasons I turned hwa off for AP, but left it on for AD and APu. So far I had nearly no problem ... toitoitoi ... knocking on wood.

The text frame has a fill. Look at the panel Text Frame. To remove this setting for new text frames, click the icon Revert defaults (the cloud with the red line in it).

Visit Preferences >> User Interface and change the UI style options.

Do you mean a compound? Select both your element and the hole, keep the Alt key pressed and click on the Subtract button.

Is there something else we can try ?
Welcome to the Affinity forums @Tom Verzele!
Turning off hardware acceleration of Affinity Photo in Preferences >> Performance could be worth a try.

The default colour profile is the one you set in Preferences >> Colour. The defaults after an installation are sRGB IEC61966-2.1, sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (Linear), U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2, Greyscal D50 and CIELAB D50.

Exporting into PDF print quality takes forever, the result can not be opened

Strange. I expected them to see in View >> Resource Manager. Did you rasterise them during your work?
