I have to admit, that this is a very constructed scenario. 1. Type rababer with the Artistic Text or Text Frame Tool somewhere (once). 2. Use Find and Replace to find rababer. Result: rababer is found, the text frame is selected and shown in the layer hierarchy. 3. Deselect the the text frame. 4. Use Find and Replace to find rababer again. Result: rababer is still found, but this this time not selected or shown in the layer hierarchy.

@Christian5 Turn off Show Samples / Beispiele anzeigen in the the Text Styles panel (through the small hamburger menu top right). Perhaps this helps already.

This was possible in the past obviously?!? So this is why I am asking. On some occasions I am locking PDF myself to build a hurdle "borrowing" content easily, but I would like to add my protected files where I know the password. ID allows this, asking for the password.

Reading a thread from August 2020 it was said, that the Affinities do not support encryption like 128-Bit AES and above. Currently 40- and 128-Bit RC4 won't open too. Does this mean encrypted files are not supported anymore?

Welcome to the Affinity forums @Holz! Yes, I see the benefit behind you request and additionally I like to request to put a text wrap on the pinned object. Interesting, I have to revert my request, because what I wanted is possible, but with a "strange" workflow. To add a text wrap to a pinned object you have to click on Edit Wrap Outline first, then you change the behaviour in Show Text Wrap Settings. Maybe this is the way text wrap was meant to be?

Any chance that you upload the Affinity file and the PDF? And is it correct, that the text on the helmets is mirrored? EDIT: I am simply to slow in answering ...

What to fix? MEB said already that elements outside the page are gone in a PDF. Affinity and e.g. Inkscape are only able to read the PDF part. I wonder if there is any application (affordable, not high priced) beside the Adobe universe that is able to open an AI without the PDF stream? -
Because already shortcutted for Show rulers perhaps?

From the help files: To create a luminosity mask: On the Layers panel, click on the layer's thumbnail with Ctrl and Alt pressed. From the Layers panel, click Mask Layer. And for dust and scratches removal: Filters >> Noise >> Dust & Scratches Maybe not enough, because I don't know the dust removal dialogue from Polaroid.

Maybe the problem is language related? At least works for me on a German system, with English GUI and HWA on.

A similar approach would be Select >> Select Same >> Fill Colour and pick the colour of your choice from a saved default palette.

Set up your preferred text styles and then in Text Styles panel from the small hamburger (3 vertical lines) pick Save Styles as Default.

When I want to set up a keyboard shortcut the key Alt Gr causes problems. The combination with Shift works, but pressing the Ctrl and the Alt Gr key makes the Ctrl key vanish in the shortcut. Asked this already ... locale aware keyboard shortcuts would be nice. The English Ctrl+[ should be on a German keyboard Alt Gr+[.

Yes they are. I would like to see the contrary, symbols globally available. Right now copying from one document to another.

Have a look at the Text Frame panel. This text frame has a red stroke. Just remove the line there.

I am not sure if that what is shown in the video is a viable workflow for ... whatever. But the result seems to be incorrect in any way. constraintsandcompound.mp4

Maybe there is a sense behind I do not get right now. 1. Add two elements to a compound. 2. Release both elements. Result: Elements are released but there is still a compound layer in the Layers panel. By design? And wouldn't it be nice to release all elements at once by simply releasing the "compound group" by right-clicking + Release?
