  1. Depends. From a book-reading distance, yes. From 1 m distance or more, no. What printer is used? Offset or Inkjet (to name two). Inkjet forgives more than Offset. When the first LFP Inkjets entered the market, I even had resolutions of 36dpi due to lack of memory and it still looked "acceptable". Additional trick I used in these old days was to use a halftone raster for the printout with the Inkjet.
  2. Not quite true. Yes, APu places always the first page, but you can change the page in the context toolbar from the Spread dropdown menu. But I have to agree to place multiple pages at once or specifying page ranges would be extremely helpful.
  3. Strange. I expected many things, but not this. EDIT: This happens only with pages inserted before page 1. This should be moved over to the bugs section. If yes, then I am doing the same mistake. I added a mp4 version of your movie. I had to convert it first to watch it. moving.mp4
  4. You can set the Image Placement Policy while creating a new image or with Document Setup in an existing document to Embedded. What should be optimised? Discarding images is not within the responsibility of the application. I prefer linked images. Maybe to satisfy all, default Image Placement Policy could be set in Preferences?
  5. No I can't reproduce this, German keyboard. German or English UI, HWA on or off make no difference. Misunderstood OP, yes I can confirm.
  6. Interesting question. The only way I know is to move the Master Layer to top on every page. If this interferes with the layout you can add a new masterpage with the watermark sign and apply additionally to your pages. This watermark master layer has to be moved to top on each page ... writing for nothing ... @firstdefence was faster ... again.
  7. Welcome to the Affinity forums @fabo03! Very unusual what you are telling. Could you do a screen recording for us? Or provide us with the APublisher document?
  8. Welcome to the Affinity forums @card_dealer! Imposition is normally done by the the printer himself, so nothing to do for you. If the printer is really demanding what you are saying, then there are two options: 1. Changing your document setup to Facing Pages starting Right, but then you have to move the contents or moving the pages in the Pages panel 2. Use the print dialogue, select Model: Booklet and print to a PDF printer.
  11. Two files I got from LibreOffice, the hyphenation file from here https://github.com/Slyneth/hunspell-hyphenation-turkish
  12. Don't know if this works. Extract the attached ZIP and copy the folder containing the three files to the place mentioned in the FAQ. tr_TR.zip
  13. Oops, sorry of course the image will be "ruined" if JPG, PSD won't be touched.
  14. Better zip the image, otherwise the forum software will ruin the original data.
  15. Welcome to the Affinity forums @furkancalisan! Do you applied Turkish language to the Turkish text frame (Character panel or inside your text styles)? And did you install the Turkish dictionary? If not, here some information on how to install the Turkish dictionary SORRY. I did not check if there is a hyphenation dictionary for Turkish, but could not find one. Some other Turkish users here with some other sources?
  16. You can, but you won't like it. a) Group the layer you want to protect. b) Menu Layer >> New Group c) Drag the image group into the empty group and collapse this group. Pure nonsense, but at least you won't destroy the layer you want to protect. I do hope, that one day / version a lock means protection against everything.
  17. Good question. I tried some things on my machine ... resize before export (including resizing to whole pixels), resize in the export dialogue, but the outcome was always sharp. As I have no Mac I cannot give you a good advice to solve your problem. Perhaps some Mac users want to join the discussion. About sharpening bringing artefacts into the image: The last image looks like being saved with a too strong compression. To avoid trial and error you can use the Preview button in the export dialogue to find the best setting.
  18. Welcome to the Affinity forums @Mats Nilsson! Just use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+D or menu Select >> Deselect.
  19. Yes, this is possible. Select the line with the Move tool and move it with the arrow keys. In Preferences >> Tools you can define how far they have to move with a single key press.
  20. Welcome to the Affinity forums @SRP! Just remove or hide the last element of the group.
  21. All the efforts for nothing ... 😭 This is not a viable workaround, but good to know when everything else fails. a) Open the SVG in Chrome and then print. Use save as PDF option and test if it works for you. b) The water was not showing correctly in AD, so I removed the ocean with Chrome's inspect feature and saved / printed the remaining SVG again as PDF.
  22. I may be - not surprisingly - wrong, but I think there is no keyboard shortcut for this. But what about using the mouse scroll wheel when you are over the field for the column number?
  23. @mark-h If you do not need the ocean ... here you go For completeness, the ocean as a separate file. Roryia-no-ocean.afdesign Roryia-only-ocean.afdesign
