Right now when multiple files of the same name are placed, the Resource Manager shows them "collapsed" plus the count. I would like to see also the status. With an only once placed file you see the status OK immediately. Assumed that the multiple placed file is missing you have to expand the entry to see the status. This is just a nice-to-have as Preflight (in APu) warns you that files are missing or the same for opening the document.

Dashed border not exporting properly to pdf
Joachim_L replied to rtloon's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
You can change the decimal units to be displayed in Preferences >> User Interface. To avoid the other problem change from Align Stroke to Outside to Align Stroke to Centre in the Stroke panel. -
@TheMan Not my day today. So I have to apologize (again). You meant the leading - space between the different lines. Simple. Mark the text and have a look at the Paragraph panel at Space after Paragraph. There should be a value, lower the value or remove it to have the lines of text closer together.

OK, made some more tests and I think I got the source of the problem. All images are listed in one expandable entry. I added the TIFF files from desktop = no problem with packaging. I added the files from our file server = multiple files appear in the package. So it must be, that the files are lying on our file server. Final explanation after some more tests: The problem only occurs when the files are lying on a path containing special chars - in this case the German Umlaut ü. So I think I have to apologize for my rude tone. SORRY again.

1. Made a document with 7 pages, image repeated on every page, 3 fonts (restricted) used. 2. Saved as package. The warning about the restricted fonts appear. Fine, everything as it should be. 3. Opened the package file again and ... unexpected results. - That all images are flagged as modified ... still not fixed. - The ONE image repeatingly placed on seven pages are now SEVEN images, of course having different names. - The package report says that the restricted fonts are modified. Modified in what sense? File name? Or that they are suddenly not flagged as restricted anymore?

If you want to create a text frame: a) Select the Text Frame Tool b) With pressed mouse button create a rectangle. c) If you release the mouse button the text cursor blinks in the text frame you created. d) If you switched the tool to something else NOT being a text tool, select again a text tool and click into the text frame. With the Pen Tool you can do nothing with a text frame. EDIT: Sorry for writing redundant explanations. Had to read your comment again.

Welcome to the Affinity forums @Bruno Champey! Maybe the font has some other dots you could use. Use the Glyph Browser to verify this. Else write with this dot you found and when the document is ready use Find and Replace to replace the dot with itself plus with a text style (Character style) that shifts the baseline down.

affinity photo Add artboard
Joachim_L replied to 3wc Forum's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
Why do you need artboards in AP? For multipage raster documents? Off topic: Perhaps you should ask a moderator to change your username (if you can't do it on your own) to avoid collecting lots of mails. -
Place pdfs WITH bleed
Joachim_L replied to iaing's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
@evtonic3 The comments are from 2018. Still a PDF is placed initially without bleed or crop marks, but you can change this in the context toolbar with the pulldown called Page Box. -
It is not the export setting. The colour cutcontour was a global colour (which is helpful) and set to overprint (what is needed), but it was no spot colour. Unfortunately you cannot turn a global colour into a spot colour, so you have to add another cutcontour colour and apply this colour to the cut contours. Attached a repaired version for you to look. sample forum-fix.afpub

Let's say we have three rectangles beneath each other and I want them to space vertically with the distance x starting from the lowest rectangle. Unfortunately impossible, because always the highest element is the starting point. So this means for my example, that the two lower rectangles are moved up instead of moved down. So it would be handy, if the the option dropdown e.g. First Selected would be available.

AD or APu? Close the document, open it again. Normally you get a warning about missing resources. Click Yes, search for the file named in the box, click Open and if in this place are more files that are missing, they will be relinked too. Haven't installed the latest beta of APu (1.9.4.1082) yet, but there seems to be a new relink option.
