  1. 1. Create an element. 2. Switch to Photo Persona and add "Add Noise" live filter as the top layer. 3. Add the noise layer to assets and delete the top layer afterwards. 4. Apply the asset on the element. 5. Apply the asset a second time on the element and zoom in and out. Result: You get some redraw errors on the element, at least with my configuration. To get the redraw errors the live filter has to be an asset. EDIT: Hardware acceleration on or off makes no difference. redraw-livefilter-2.mp4
  2. 1. Open a multipage PDF with AP. 2. Flatten the document. 3. Use Clip Canvas. 4. Undo step 3 with menu or keyboard shortcut. Result: Undoing Clip Canvas is not successful. Test yourself with the attached PDF. undoclipcanvas.pdf
  3. Seems to be Mac specific. The recipe is not working on Windows 10.
  4. Welcome to the Affinity forums @Radz108! Seems to be a problem of the automatic removing of the lens vignette. Visit the Lens panel to correct that.
  5. I had the same problem a few years ago too, when I was layouting a montly magazine. Guess what? I always told them the wrong value. Sometimes too low, sometimes too high. You can do an approximation. Create a text frame with width and height 100 mm, fill it with real-word text, with real-world font size and leading and make a count. So have a basis for "guessing" the word count for other text frames.
  6. OT: You were so wealthy? My first hard drive had 20 MB on an Ericsson PC. When I got my first 1 GB hard drive I thought, that I never get this HUGE disk filled.
  7. Without seeing the document itself, hard to judge. Is the text frame lying over the image and the image has text wrap activated? What could help is, selecting the text frame and hitting the Revert defaults button from the top toolbar.
  8. @Jonathan David Could you please package (fonts are needed, but only when you are allowed to send) your document, zip it and upload it here?
  9. The file seems to be irrelevant, because I renamed a file of my own. Perhaps the problem is only on non-english systems?
  10. Wasted time? I do not expect js8 to come back for proper communication.
  11. Welcome to the Affinity forums @Jonathan David! What colour profile are you using on your document and with which preset or settings are you exporting to PDF?
  12. And did you tried to uncheck Subset Fonts and it still gave you a wrong result?
  13. Why not using the Segment or the Crescent Tool, converting the segment to curves, switching to the Node Tool, holding the CTRL key pressed and click on the bottom line? removingline.mp4
  14. Welcome to the Affinity forums @Mayilvaganan! Yes, it is possible, but depending on your PDF files there are better/faster applications for a simple merge.
  15. Select the text frame and hit the Revert defaults from the top toolbar. Some like it, that Affinity is memorizing settings, some hate it.
  16. Thanks for your detailed answer. I was just asking myself if it is not better to lock function when they do not make sense? To add another one: Place an image, convert to picture frame and Geometry Add. The "object" has now lost its Picture Frame "status", but still behaves as a picture frame.
  17. Doing a Geometry Add or Geometry Divide on an image produces an empty curve. Is this just an UI flaw that both Geometry actions are not greyed out or is there any real use-case I do not know of?
  18. Percentages of what? What is the origin value? If your base value is 0,24 pt, just type 200% into the input field and the line becomes 0,48 pt. Or does Figma allow the value like 55% in the input field? Or perhaps you have to elaborate a bit more on what you want.
  19. Done in 4 minutes with the Selection Brush Tool + Refine function. With a bit more love this can be done better.
  20. Welcome to the forums @andersen55! It depends ... on your skills you already have ... how complex the image is ... etc. pp. No. Simple as that. Maybe you can upload a sample image, so others can maybe judge the complexity and assist you.
