I have experienced the same issue here. Are there any workarounds or fixes that anyone know for solving this problem? Thanks!
When you place a PDF with multiple pages, have a look at the context bar. There is a pulldown (plus some other options) where you can select the desired page.
This works only if you place the PDF directly and not when you place the PDF inside a picture frame.

Noticed this after installing and working on my 106 pages document that Publisher is getting slower, often I get the Not Responding message, all elements on the pages get blurred, popped out menus won't close etc.pp.

Is the linked file always saved with the document? Is there any way how to exclude linked files from saving and shrink the afpub file size?
Yes. No. We are all waiting for proper linked-aware-of-changes files.

I guess on final release the help section will be fully translated.

Where do you copy it from? The word time (ême) seems to be corrupted also.

Text Wrap Preview: Agree with you.
Margins: You mean Spread Setup Margins? There is a link symbol right to the input fields.
Hidden Character: Menu Text -> Show Special Characters

Stupid me. I am using always PSO Coated/Uncoated v3, so I overlooked that. Sorry. Sean is correct. If you stay with the same colour profiles it works. Just one question left: If Overprint Black is checked in the export settings, then Black = C0M0Y0K100 has to overprint and not cut out? If yes, then this does not work. See image.

If there is an unknown word in your text and you apply at least three (or more?) soft hyphens it is not possible to select Learn Spelling anymore. Video attached.

Sure. Sorry for the confusing post. In the first place I was not reading the title of this topic carefully enough. But, yes the Separator dropdown is still disappearing in .305. See video for this.
Secondly, in the Paragraph panel I am able to insert at Bullets and Numbering -> Type Bullet as many bullets as I like. With the More button I can select a font for the bullet, but I can't select different fonts for different bullets. I must admit that this is nothing for every-day-use. The only thing that "bugs" me is, that the font picker on the More button pre-selects the font of the paragraph and not the font of the bullet.
-
Try to double-click the centered handles on all sides of the text box. Seems to be that what you want?
-
oops, sorry still an issue. I was in the wrong place.
Separate topic: Concerning paragraph with unordered lists you can select the font for the bullet. You can select as many bullets as you like, but you can't change the font in between as the font-picker might suggest.

I think Publisher was never meant for this kind of use. Affinity Designer should be the better place, but I doubt this since this is a very special workflow. Illustrator shows the code on export, perhaps Inkscape has the wanted feature?

You can crash Publisher by creating a palette from image. Testfile was a CMYK TIFF, same saved as JPEG works without crash. See attached files. Other point is, that the created palette is not exactly what is inside the file (reduced it to 4 colours). It feels like that it is a RGB representation converted to CMYK.

What a joyride. Finally found the bugs. Attached PDF has 100% Black for text.
1. Openend your file with my ICC profile since yours seem to be different. Exported for print. Result not 100% Black.
2. Openend your file with no ICC profile conversion. Exported for print. Result not 100% Black.
3. Openend your file with no ICC profile conversion. Use document profile. No ICC embedded. Result not pure 100% Black, but far better with some small amounts of other colours. Being on a good way, having a clue what still was wrong.
4. Openend your file with no ICC profile conversion. Use document profile. No ICC embedded. Unchecked Overprint Black. Tadaaa: Text 100% Black.
Conclusion: Still some work for Serif on the export.
Added: Overprint black seems to sum up all the values for colours even when lying beneath the text.

Does this crash more than once for you? Are you on Mac or Windows? Do you have any crash reports you could attach please?
Crashes always. Windows 8.1. dmp is attached.

Opening your .afpub crashes instantly Publisher.

The last action was "Convert to Curves" and not duplicating. BTW I had to switch to English to look up the help files to see what it is all about "Power Duplicate". Does not earn its name, better would be "Better Duplicate" or "Advanced Duplicate". For example I want to have 50 lines down the page, so the only way is to make the first line, duplicate it, move the duplicate and then hitting 48 times Duplicate? After that I need an energy drink, because my power is exhausted.
Perhaps Serif wants to get inspired by the "Power Duplicate" function of InDesign? Far easier and faster.
-
Kids, don't do this at home.
What you can't see in the video is, that I duplicated the circle a few times. The final "Convert to Curves" makes the circle jump to the right.

Yes, you can. Kind of two tools in one. When tool changes to the cross icon you move the "box" around the image and with the crop icon you can move the image inside the "box".
