Definitely not, but the Affinity version 9.1.2 is from 2/2018, in the meantime (2/2019) 9.20 was released. Perhaps some PDF problem might have been solved in the meantime?

The PDF and the Affinity document file would be helpful and with which settings you exported. -
For future and established customers a roadmap would be nice, but I can imagine why there is no roadmap. No roadmap lifts the pressure from the developers to bring feature x in version y at date z. For a small team servicing three platforms and a software range which is heavily tied together it won't be easy to develop the software I guess.

Good, fact noticed. Awfully complicated IMO, but accepted. I did not mean moving inside the Guides Manager but manually, but without a Move tool ... For you too?

Is it only me? I have the impression, that the View Menu in the Develop Persona is mostly useless / not working? Example 1: What do "Show Margins" and "Show Pixel Selection" show? Example 2: Show rulers and try to drag some guide lines onto the image = Not working. Example 3: Go to Guides Manager and add some guides. The photo gets very dark now, but the guides are visible. With Undo not the Guides Action is undone, but the latest action you made elsewhere (same happens in Grid and Axis Manager). Example 4: Try to move the guide lines you made with the Guides Manager = Not working as if they were locked, but they are not locked. Example 5: Why should I use Rotate Left / Rotate Right when I am limited to 15° steps? Much easier with the Crop Tool. Working with the Crop Tool has another bug. You can change the overlay, e.g. to diagonals, but when you are going to rotate the image the overlay turns into squares.

Affinity Photo has not changed yesterday. Were there other changes to your PC or your camera? Apart from this: Never noticed this before, that there is a pulldown for the RAW engine. The only item is "Serif Labs", but a pulldown implies that there should be more than one option. Is it planned, that we decide which RAW engine to use? -
What is the version of your Arial? Mine is 7.00 and gives no problems with ligatures. I think it came with Windows 10.

So this time I don't get your point. I just wanted to make clear, that it is impossible to give an element a white shadow from inside the Effects panel. Have a look at the image. The black rectangle was made with the Layer panel where you can change the Blend mode from Multiply to Normal. In the Effects panel you can not do that, see the result in the orange rectangle. So my question was: Why splitting one functionality into two areas while it is not sufficient working in one area. Maybe I just have to refrain from my good ideas and let Serif do their work.

I am not convinced fully. When it is an alternate view, then there has to be additional code for the different presentation. And even if this is only an alternate view, it carries its own bug or better said not-thought-to-the-end design decision. As mentioned, add a white outer shadow effect to an element with the Effects panel. Won't work, because the underlying Blend mode - which is not visible in the Effects panel - is set to Multiply which does not work with white. If there is an Effects panel why not add an Adjustments panel to make it complete? KIS and leave the effects only to the Layer panel.

To keep a Publisher document nice and clean, avoid to place .psd, .svg, .afphoto, .afdesign. It seems to be, that most of files which are handled as documents increase the file size significantly. These are my observations. -
From my point of view the mixed basic-versus-detailed thing is irritating. As an example I was pretty sure I can move the outer shadow manually, but did not memorize where it was. Getting the FX from the Layers panel was my normal way of workflow, so I had to search for, where the Offset Tool was. Sounds silly, I know. But perhaps more could be irritated? But I have nice argument for you for NOT splitting the FX into two places: Just work with the "basic" Effects panel and give an image a white outer shadow. Best of luck!

There are currently two (?) options to add effects to elements. You can add the FX from the Layers panel and you can add the FX from the Effects panel. Why is there a difference (see image)? Is the extra panel for Effects really needed if we can add FX from the Layers panel? And we can clearly see if a effect is added through the icon. I have no idea about programming, but me thinks that redundant functions / code could have an impact on the overall performance of a software?

Sometimes images are not visible when placed right or left of the page, although Clip to Canvas is unchecked. Step 0: Make sure that View -> View Mode -> Clip to Canvas is unchecked. Step 1: Edit image / Edit document. Step 2: Switch to Photo Persona. Step 3: Make some changes to the image and save. Funny: Popup is saying, that the image was modified outside of the application. Step 4: Close the tab. You are now returned to the document and Publisher Persona. Step 5: Deselect the edited image. Pick the place image tool and place an image right or left to the page. Result: The placed image can not be seen. To make the image visible again, check and then uncheck Clip to Canvas.
