Thanks for taking the time to reply guys. I think you're both right; the Surface Book 2 is probably the best option for me since iPad Pro doesn't have Designer yet and I already have both Affinity apps for Windows. It's definitely pricey, but it's a worthwhile investment towards getting my business off the ground so it'll pay for itself eventually.

After much consideration I've decided to invest in a portable tablet so that I'm no longer tethered to my Workstation at home and can double my output of designs by working on the go. I currently use an Artisul D13 tablet and it's been good to me, but I've recently tried my friends iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil and it completely blows mine out of the water. It's highly responsive with no lag, pressure sensitivity was off the charts, and there was no parallax which completely blew my mind! I went to Best Buy to purchase one and stumbled upon the MS Surface Book 2 on display so I checked it out. Now I'm conflicted because the Surface Pen is just as impressive as the Apple Pencil! The fact that the Surface Book 2 also doubles as a laptop and runs Windows 10 is a huge plus, but I need to inquire about a few things before I make such an investment. 1) Designer is the main app I use for my illustrations so I was wondering when it's coming to the iPad Pro or if there's some type of beta I can use until the full release. 2) If I get the Surface Book 2 am I allowed to install the same Designer & Photo I have on my PC or do I need a different License? 3) I know Photo is optimized very well on the iPad Pro so is it safe to assume that the same could be said for all versions of the Surface Book 2? 4) Let's say I get the Surface Book 2 with the i7 CPU, GTX 1060 GPU, and 16gb of Ram; Are there any type of performance benefits to having all the extra memory and computing power? If so what are they? Sorry for the long post and please feel free to comment. All opinions are welcome specially if you have an iPad Pro or the Surface Book 2.

I'm trying to figure out how to apply a vanishing point to a specific object to no avail. I remember being able to do it in Illustrator, but since i'm largely unfamiliar with Designer I haven't stumbled upon that option yet. If someone more experienced in the Affinity ecosystem could point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful to you. I'm trying to give the illusion of depth in a uniform way without having to redesign the object in question. Thanks in advance for the support!

Thank you Ros! I appreciate the fact that you understood exactly what I was going for. Just got both Designer & Photo Workbooks in the mail so I have a lot of catching up to do before I can tackle more ambitious projects since I'm still largely unfamiliar with both apps.

I'm new to Designer and I'm probably not the best GD in this forum by a long shot, but I just wanted to share my first project in A.Designer because i'm really proud of myself!

Further investigation shows that it works when the path is created with the pen tool, but not when I use the ellipse tool, rectangle tool or any other shape tool. Is that by design or is it some type of bug?
-
That was my first instinct, but it doesn't work for me. Nothing happens at all. All I can do with node tool is select and move the ellipse. I tried using the mouse, but it doesn't work either. I just got Designer last night, Do i need to update it or does it update automatically when I installed it? Maybe that's the problem?
-
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm running Windows 10 and I'm using the Artisul D13 tablet with the latest drivers. I've tried doing what you've said with the Node Tool, but instead of adding a node it selects the entire path. For some reason it's acting similar to the move tool. Am I doing something wrong?

Hey guys I just recently made the switch from Adobe ecosystem to Affinity Designer & Photo because i'm not trying to shell out $600 a year for the rest of my life. I'm getting myself adjusted with Designer right now, but i hit a snag. I can't seem to Add/Remove nodes to existing paths like you could in Illustrator. I've tried searching in Help, but nothing comes up. Is this feature not currently available in Designer? If that's the case, then when can we expect this option in a future update? I only ask because it's something I use often. Thanks in advance for your help and time.
