  1. Yeah the backgrd isn't "right" - perspective tool affinity (for AD)... hmm lol - here's a line art grab. With really clean gradients you can achieve a smooth almost shaded look... don't forget the AD er's that like to work in just vectors Affinity!
  2. Hey 1.5 is solid Affinity! Nice improvement on the art board tool! Just a small illustration I originally did in ai imported into AD and redid using soft vectors.
  3. Cool Poster - nice work! And once I read "Spoons" I am intrigued! :D
  4. Thanks trying to do more pixel (raster) painting.
  5. All vector done in Aff Designer. Lots of gradients - some soft vectors for highlights. One thing thats nice is the copy and paste ( command shift v) of an all ready created gradient into a new shape - you don't have to save it as a swatch - just paste into your new shape and adjust. Real time saver.
  6. First thing I see when i look at your illustrations is animation! They all have energy to em!
  7. i really liked the monster one! All affinity?
  8. Affinity Designer - vector for the line art and the pixel persona for coloring - haven't used illustrator in like 6 months.
  9. All vectors - comic style illustration.
  10. they are awesome - totally dig broken 1
  11. nice style where's the fries? :D Isin't it great that u can go from vector line art to pixel painting within one app.
  12. looks awesome watched the youtube preview - did you say free to all that replied!!! :D nice work eh!
  13. Not an original illustration of mine but all line-work and coloring done in vectors with Aff Designer. All vectors used vector brushes and created a soft vector brush for shading. Updated a couple of things... shading lines etc
  14. All vector tried to create a realistic apple without using bitmaps.
  15. thx - no I have had the software since it went on sale at the App Store.
  16. Yes I have illustrator and have an an older astute plug-in - which does help the functionality of illustrator, at about $100 USD extra on top of what your paying for illustrator. Illustrator does have a great pen tool its very precise and fast and having a profile drop down for line profiles is cool (and useful) too - if affinity can improve the fluidness and speed of it pen tool and cost less than half a plug-in - I mean its a no brainer. The extras like extending a line are nice but with good fast pen tool that becomes less of a need. But a node reduction illustrator already has - u can't paint away nodes but u can reduce... which is something you use and need in a professional drawing app definitely.
  17. Modeled after a toy model, was really an exercise to see how much and how smooth the gradients could be in AD. The gradient tool is nice and fast I like how you can double click to add to the gradient and then are able to select one of the individual colors and adjust without having to open a separate dialog box. The background was done in bitmap - pixel persona. Need envelope/ perspective/warp tool please!
  18. Awesome - love the top one - has a steampunk style
