Its most unfortunate that the ability to save a file in the Trial program in the native Affinity format is NOT available.
I mean, what is the fear here? Is Serif afraid that someone will be able to actually use a native Affinity file after the trial is over and get pages of work for free? If the trial expires then so does the usefulness of the file in that native format. As it is, I spent about 2 hours playing with the program to see if it would work for me and after seeing that I liked it it would have been pretty nice after buying the program if my work would at least have been saved so that I could continue where I left off.
Guess now I will have to start over again. BIG bummer!
I understand restricting the export function as you did but why the "save as" function? Silly, in my opinion.
I have now taken pause before buying the program after this. I still may buy it (because I liked it) after a few weeks and I have cooled off but it really left an unpleasant taste in my mouth today.
