This returns the Tool settings to their default values - for example with the Text Tools selected this will set the Font to Arial at 12pt etc.
It will not affect your custom brushes, palettes, assets etc.

The UI teams are different between desktop and iPad - and I suspect this was simply overlooked. I'll get this logged with the team now!

I'm unsure if the same issues are occurring in Publisher for you, as I can see similar conflict issues in the XML files as your Designer Shortcuts - therefore I have completed the same 'fix' for your Publisher shortcuts also and have attached this below

I believe that I have been able to resolve this issue with your Shortcut file without affecting other shortcuts - please find this attached below.
I'd recommend using the Clear All Shortcuts option, then restarting the app to ensure you are starting from a clean state.
ow, try loading the Shortcut file within the app and using your shortcuts.
You should hopefully find the F1 shortcut works, and can be un/re-assigned, as required. I'd also recommend checking your other shortcuts, as hopefully these have not been affected in my recovery process.
I'm also logging your shortcuts file with our development team for further investigation, to try and understand why this has occurred and to reduce the chance of it happening again in the future - I hope this helps

I suspect you are experiencing the known issue outlined below - 
In disabling WiFi, you are stopping the macOS sync of iCloud in the background, allowing the document to load.
An alternative to resolve this option without disabling WiFi is to navigate to Apple > System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files and Folders > then expand each Affinity app listed and disable 'iCloud Drive' for each entry.
After restarting the Affinity apps with this option disabled, you should find the documents load as expected, without the need to disable your WiFi

I have installed several fonts using ifont and never had a font issue with the ipad.  
 
i have created an icloud folder on my computer and copied fonts into there and then can bulk import them using iFont which has a few steps but makes the fonts available system wide.

I can confirm this is a known issue with Adjustment / Live Filters on Master Pages which is currently logged with our development team.
I'll be sure to bump/update this issue with our team now, in order to bring it to their attention once again.

As Alfred has mentioned above, Macros are a function of Affinity Photo only and as far as I'm aware there are no plans to introduce these into Affinity Designer at this time.
However, Scripting is due to be added in a future version of Affinity, though our team hasn't provided any specific timescales for this currently.
In the meantime I'll move this post to the Feedback section of the Forums, I hope this helps

I'm not seeing this behaviour here - when selecting the Pixel Tool in the Pixel Persona of Designer, the default fill colour (black) is applied to my strokes.
Are you able to provide a screen recording showing the behaviour you're referring to please?
If you navigate to the Designer Persona, then select the Move Tool. With this enabled, navigate to Edit > Defaults > Factor Reset - you should find that the Colour options are reset to the default Black/White.
Now, return to the Pixel Persona, select the Pixel Tool and begin painting - you should find this uses the default Black colour to paint, as expected.

Under Edit > Settings > Assistant, ensure the Assistant is enabled with the checkbox at the top of the dialog, then the Painting with no layers selected option needs to be set to Add new pixel layer and paint

Sorry to hear this! We can try and resolve the issue by clearing the applications 'Recents' list. 
Please open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) then depending on the Affinity app you're using, paste the following string and press OK:
Photo - 
%USERPROFILE%\.affinity\Photo\2.0\Settings\ Designer - 
%USERPROFILE%\.affinity\Designer\2.0\Settings\ Publisher - 
%USERPROFILE%\.affinity\Publisher\2.0\Settings\ In the window that opens, please select the 'RecentFiles.xml', then delete this file.
Relaunch the Affinity app(s) and you should hopefully find this freeze/force close no longer occurs

Excuse me.  As usual, I just discovered the problem is with me!  Read about an export option in Apple Photo: "Choose File > Export > Export Unmodified Original"
Problem solved, lesson learned, karma penetrated...

Apologies for the delayed response here as I was out of the office yesterday - I can confirm that I'm seeing multiple issues with your shortcuts file, that I've yet been able to replicate from scratch.
I'm in the process of attempting to repair these shortcuts, so that I can return a working .afshorts file to you that does not require a complete recreation, but this will take a little longer for me to complete, so I appreciate your continued patience here!
In the meantime, can you please confirm for me, have these shortcuts perhaps been transferred to/from beta versions at any point?
Is there a chance these were originally created in V2.1 or before?
I ask as we're aware of a specific issue with some shortcuts between V2.1 and V2.2 and I suspect that may be related, and explain why I cannot replicate this from scratch in 2.4 currently

I believe the two options are there to help the user align the images in (at least) the two cases shown in my attached image. (I have exaggerated the effects.)
I don’t think there is any ‘hard and fast rule’ about which you should choose, just whatever gives the best result.

I had recently clean-installed everything on my mac, but had unwittingly installed V1 Affinity apps. I just installed the V2 apps and it everything is working as it should. Thanks!

I had the same issue on a document. The solution was to save the document, restart Designer and it worked fine again.
There's a bug that's causing this. All I remember was pressing a combination of keys including ALT, CTRL and Esc while trying to use symbols on my 60% keyboard, and it happened after that.
