  1. Hi user099, As @v_kyr has mentioned can simply drag and drop an image from your file browser onto your image to add it in as a new image layer or use File > Place... This can then be transformed using the move tool (V) independently of the original image. I can see from your screenshot attached that the image you have open is nested inside a layer, and this is why it is not currently visible in your document.
  2. Hi PSN, Welcome to the forums! I'd recommend watching the following tutorial on merging exposures: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68QMyERwnM8 The quickest/easiest way to do this, is to open your 'background image', then drag and drop the second image onto the first. This will insert the photo as a second layer, above the first. (please note it may require transforming to ensure it is square on the canvas) Then, select the recently added image layer and use the 'Mask Layer' button at the bottom of the layers panel. Select this mask and the Paint Brush tool, moving hardness to 0% and the colour to black. You can the 'paint' on the image where you wish for the second image to show on your background layer, as this example below: I hope this helps!
  3. Hi Theo de Bock, Welcome to the forums Could you please post your question on our CommunityPlus forums as this is for our legacy software, and a member will be able to answer your query there. Apologies for any inconvenience! https://community.serif.com
  4. Welcome to the forums irascible I'm glad to hear that you're happy with our recent updates and improvements, our developers work hard to ensure that Affinity is continuing to improve wherever possible!
  5. Thanks for that tnittner, I have exported your document as a PDF, selecting More > Rasterise > Everything and this seems to work as a workaround. See the PDF and screenshot attached. anzeige_320x110 rast.pdf
  6. Hi tnittner, We can certainly look into this for you, in the meantime could you supply us with a copy of the .afdesigner file you are working on?
  7. Hi QCL, Welcome to the forums If you could please email us at affinitysupport@serif.com then we can provide further info!
  8. Hi AnilaM26, Welcome to the forums! This certainly can be done on Designer using a mixture of the Draw and Pixel personas. Firstly, create your text shape using the Artistic text tool found on the left hand toolbar Then, insert your model image and remove the background from the image using your preferred method, such as the Smart Selection brush available in Pixel persona. See this video here for tips on how to do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOE4G1xVckY Once you have your selection, in the refine panel change the output to 'new layer' from the drop-down menu and delete the old image layer: Position the image over the letter, duplicate it using 'Ctrl/CMD + J' and then on the layers panel, drag and drop one image inside the Artistic text layer as such: Now select the image that is not nested within the text and create a mask of that layer using the mask icon near the bottom of the layers panel: Select the mask only and check that you are still in Pixel persona. Use the paint brush tool with a black fill to 'paint' on the mask, masking some of the image to the edge of the text. This will automatically clip to the edge of the text, so no need to worry about being precise. Hope this helps!
  9. Hi buckcyore, Welcome to the forums I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your trial of Affinity Designer! 1. There isn't a specific tool for this, but it has been requested here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/25991-newbie-question-offset-path/ 2. Unfortunately Affinity Designer does not support Envelope warp, but it has been feature requested here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/6971-envelope-warping-object-distort-perspective-tool-or-fisheye-tool/ and is also on our Affinity Designer 1.x Roadmap here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/842-affinity-designer-feature-roadmap/ 3. Equally we do not currently have a shape blend tool, but it has been requested here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/54075-blending-shapes/ and is on the same Roadmap seen above. You can create pattern brushes if you wish, please see this video here for a tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mB2ta6zEOo The paid version is no different, we ensure that all customers have the chance to try our apps features to their fullest extent in the trial version!
  10. Hi mike21, I would say this is a relatively normal load time for RAW images in Affinity, testing on my machine with Canon 700D CR2 files (~22 MB), they open between 8 - 12 seconds each time. Our developers are always looking to improve the app and work with a variety of machines to ensure Affinity runs at the best possible speeds across all manner of computer systems.
  11. @ThoopaDan Unfortunately pictures aren't moderated separately from posts and I cannot see an image attached to either post. Could you please try again for me?
  12. Hi Liviu, Welcome to the forums Unfortunately Affinity Photo does not have a Perspective Crop tool, but it is a feature that has been requested here:
  13. Hi ThoopaDan,Welcome to the forums! To join 2 nodes together, select the node tool and drag and drop one node onto the other to automatically join them. If you are trying to break a curve from an 'O' shape to 'C', then using the node tool you can select or create one node at the point where you wish to start the break and click the first 'Action' button on the context toolbar. This will break the curve once at this node point, duplicate these actions at the point where you wish to end the break and you will be left with a 'C' shape and a loose curve which can be deleted.
  14. Hi JeyJeySK,Welcome to the forums Unfortunately the Windows product code purchased from the Affinity Store can't be redeemed for a Windows Store install due to the way software distribution through the Windows Store works.
