  1. Hi arturwagnerowski What format are you exporting to, and what settings are you using please? If possible, could you upload a copy of your file to the following link so I can investigate this? https://www.dropbox.com/request/xN3YPXMWQCDrq3nLRpom
  2. Hi Markcq The fill mode applies to singular curve objects, not multiples. This is why you're seeing no difference when changing the fill mode currently. As can be seen in your first post; Filling self-intersecting shapes Shapes which have been constructed using self-intersecting lines can be filled in two different ways. I've created a quick video below showing this, I hope it helps clear things up! Fill Mode.mp4
  3. Thanks for that, we're a little closer to solving this. Could you please confirm if you're running any third party antivirus or firewall software? The welcome panel that shows is essentially a live webpage in Affinity, and it sounds as though an external program is blocking this and terminating the program.
  4. Hi Dave Thanks for your report, this is related to the above and our devs are aware of this issue and are working to repair it. This method shows the adjustment is clearly not working as expected and I will update our devs with this workflow as an example, hopefully it will be patched shortly.
  5. Hi Delta5, Welcome to the forums Could you possibly provide the sample image you're using so I can look into this for you?
  6. Hi djh I've downloaded the resources for this project and there is 1 .tiff file and the final version of the .afphoto file. Could you confirm which image you're referring to when you say '003 image'? You can redownload the resources at anytime from the provided affin.co link in the workbook! Thanks for your suggestion, I recommend creating a new topic in our feature requests section of the forums https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/55-suggestions-for-affinity-photo-on-desktop/
  7. No problem at all How strange, I can't replicate this behaviour on a Windows 10 machine here, but there's an easy way to test with your PC. Please open an image into Affinity Photo, then select Help>Welcome. This should open the welcome panel, does this crash the program? If not, there is a tick box in the bottom left of the panel that will stop it from showing at launch. Untick this box (if possible), then close and re-open the app. The startup screen should not show, does the app still crash?
  8. Hi evtonic3 When right clicking a mask which has already been edited, refining the mask should work as below; Refining masks work very similarly to refining selections, you can see more on refining selections here - Right Click> Edit mask provides a view of the grayscale mask only, which can then be independently edited using the brush tools etc. Using edit mask does not provide you with the same studio window as above for fine refinements. I hope this helps!
  9. Thank you for trying that and I'm sorry to hear it hasn't helped. Do you have any other programs installed from the Microsoft store? Do these open/run correctly? Please read through the following thread, do you have any of these programs installed currently?
  10. Thanks for confirming that, this is a bug we're aware of when using the expand stroke function and then adding multiple curves using geometry. We're working to fix this asap. Unfortunately the only workaround currently is as gdenby describes, selecting less curves at once before adding them, my apologies for any inconveniences.
  11. Unfortunately I can't replicate this, in the below document I have a group of curves, and the same document embedded again. When exporting by JPEG, using the JPEG (best quality) preset, I create the following JPEG: What export settings are you using please? Could you provide a copy of your .afdesign file for me to investigate? Do your embedded documents contain artboards?
  12. Thanks for that. What format are you exporting to? Are you referring to an embedded document? A screenshot of your layers panel would certainly help if possible
  13. Hi CyprienDlp, Welcome to the forums What format are you exporting to please? Are you using File>Export, or the Export Persona? Could you please upload a screenshot of your layers studio, or a copy of the file?
  14. Hi leandrohartmann, Welcome to the forums Please open your start menu and navigate to Affinity Photo, then Right click on the app and select App Settings. In the next window you should see multiple options, one of which is repair and the other reset. Please try to repair the software first, and if this does not help then reset. After doing this, what happens if you right click on an image file and select 'open with Affinity Photo'? Does the image/software load correctly?
  15. Thanks for your file, here are my results on the following platforms: Windows 10 - Mac 10.13 Mojave - Add geometry.mp4 iPad iOS 12.0.1 - Add gemetry iPad.MP4 It took roughly 4 seconds on each platform to add the curves together in your document (102 objects), are your results different?
  16. Thank you for that. I've spoken with James and I believe we've discovered the issue. When opening a RAW into the Develop Persona, the displayed image is narrowed down to the sRGB gamut, however the actual value behind this display is correct due to the floating point arithmetic in use. This allows for colours to extend beyond the sRGB gamut and not be clipped when developing, hence you see the correct values in the Photo Persona. We'll continue to investigate this and I'll pass all the information collected through to our developers.
  17. Hi Jawaun, Welcome to the forums When using Affinity Photo for iPad we're limited to using the Apple Core RAW engine, meaning it falls to Apple to support certain cameras/RAWs. Hopefully Apple will include you camera in the next major iOS update!
  18. Another thought, are you using the Mac App Store or the Affinity.store build of Affinity Photo please?
  19. Not personally, but my colleague Leigh is doing so as he has a wide gamut Mac and we're using the digital colour monitor app built into the Mac to verify results. Could you provide a copy of this image for us to test here and screenshots showing the values you're seeing? What are you using to measure this please? Taken from our Spotlight Article (under the Colour heading) written by @James Ritson; During RAW development, the software assigns the image a colour space, and translates the colour values from the camera’s colour matrix to that colour space. Most software will typically ‘develop’ in a wide colour space (such as ProPhoto), which provides more flexibility for manipulating colour values, before converting to a standardised colour space like sRGB upon saving. Affinity Photo is no different in this regard: in its Develop Persona, colour-based adjustments are performed within ROMM RGB (otherwise known as ProPhoto, a large gamut profile), which allows for colour values far outside the range of sRGB.
  20. Hi J4BPX I recommend reading the below post regarding positive rotation being anti-clockwise: In regards to the donut, I'm not entirely certain for the design reason, but the start and end angle work along the horizontal axis. If you wish for the start point to be vertical up your screen, simply rotate the object by 90°, once rotated, a start angle of 225° and an end angle a 135° (270° total) would look as such: I hope this helps
  21. Thanks for trying this, it's more than appreciated. Below are my results from running batch processes using your files across different operating systems, at all times having Finder open where the folder was created: Operating System ¦ Input ¦ Output ¦ Missing ¦ Parallel Processing? ------------------------------------------------------------------ 10.13 High Sierra ¦ 601 ¦ 599 ¦ 2 ¦ On 10.13 High Sierra ¦ 601 ¦ 598 ¦ 3 ¦ Off 10.14 Mojave ¦ 768 ¦ 0 ¦ 768 ¦ On (Crashes) 10.14 Mojave ¦ 768 ¦ 768 ¦ 0 ¦ Off Unfortunately I can't replicate missing files to the same degree as you're seeing currently. I'd recommend resetting your app to it's default settings as this may help. You can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears the first three checkboxes should be ticked, then select Clear. The app will now open. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. To backup such settings before resetting the app, please watch our Affinity - Exporting User Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts video. I agree, I'll log this as an improvement with our devs
  22. Hi Bung I'm sorry to hear this, it certainly isn't an issue I've come across before. Could you please confirm your PC specs & OS version? If possible, could you upload the file to the link below, so I can test it here? https://www.dropbox.com/request/eBijs9EAm4T5JLdlhJKE
  23. Hi Doc Ricky Unfortunately this isn't currently possible on the iPad, but is certainly something we may add in the future! In the meantime, I'll move your thread to our Feature Requests section of the forums.
  24. Hi LyricsGirl Photoshop plugins support is still being developed for Affinity. 8bf is the extension for Photoshop plugins files on Windows, so Affinity Photo is able to use them however this doesn't mean the plugin itself will work. That's depends on a lot of factors like the features it relies on to work, if it uses any kind of automation etc etc. There's no feature parity between Photoshop and Affinity Photo so some plugins may have limited functionality or not start at all. There's an unofficial list of supported plugins available here. We are working to improve this as we move forward.
