  1. Thanks for the clarification Alfred, our recently updated EULA appears to be written with Affinity.store purchases directly in mind, with a clause regarding the Apple App Store under the Mac OS section (halfway down the EULA). Of course you must comply with any restrictions put in place by Apple when installing from the App Store in regards to multiple Macs sharing the same login, or any additional restrictions when using 'Family Sharing', however when installing a .dmg obtained directly from ourselves it appears there is no maximum limit to the number of PCs you can install on under one license, provided they are of course owned and controlled by the original purchaser and they are a 'private individual user'
  2. Hi Starzee, Welcome to the forums Could you please confirm, which Affinity iPad app are you running?
  3. Hi PAULRFONTENOT, Welcome to the forums As can be seen in the Affinity EULA ; you are permitted: (i) if you are a private individual, to download, install, use and run for personal use, one (1) copy of the Serif Software directly on each computer running Microsoft Windows or Mac OS (dependant on license purchase) that you personally own or control. We used to limit this to 5 computers, but it appears this is no longer the case!
  4. Hi Tina13, Welcome to the forums As can be seen in the context toolbar of your screenshots, the blend mode of your brush is set to Soft Light, which is why the brush appears to draw only 'behind' the current pixels. If you change this back to Normal blend mode it should work as expected!
  5. Hi Bappel, Welcome to the forums Please following the instructions provided in the above link and do let us know if this helps. Failing that, could you please confirm, are you running a 64bit version of Windows?
  6. Hi Bill O, Welcome to the forums Unfortunately our desktop builds do not have such an option currently, as we interpret desktop touch screens as mouse input. There may be a way to turn off the touch screen other than pen use in your laptops settings, but this isn't possible within Affinity, my apologies.
  7. Thanks for trying the beta and we appreciate your feedback I'll make sure our devs are aware of this and hopefully we can fix this in a future build!
  8. We're aware of the bug that causes the brush to draw incorrectly until you change the pressure profile, which is why you see the brush preview flicker and change (1:40 in your video), however selecting the stroke type in the stroke panel does not change the brush used, which is what appears to be your issue at 1:19. If you wish to return your stroke to a standard round brush, you need to select the curve and then select the brushes studio and change the brush used, not the stroke type in the stroke studio
  9. Sorry to hear it! The beta installation is separate from the release build and both can be run simultaneously The beta should detect your current installation and product key automatically, but in the rare case it doesn't simply input the key used for the release build!
  10. Hi Eric5 Thanks for your report, we're aware that our current histogram implementation has a few issues and this has been re-worked for version 1.7, which is currently in beta. You're welcome to download it and give it a go from here!
  11. Hi Chris Miller, Welcome to the forums There are a few ways of doing this in Affinity Photo, the first being Erase White Paper. Simply navigate to Filters>Colours>Erase White Paper and Affinity will automatically cut the image from the white background. Another way of doing this is by using blend ranges on the image layer. Select the image in the layers studio, click the cog icon next to the blend mode type to open the Blend Options and then on the Source Layers Ranges graph (on the left), drag the right endpoint to the bottom and the left endpoint to the right until you are happy with the result.
  12. Hi floatingonair The pack you've purchased contains an .afbrushes file which can be imported into either Affinity Photo or Designer - we've created an installation guide for this. This pack also includes paper textures in the form of PNGs, these are designed to be used as textures and backgrounds for pixel work using the brushes and can't be imported into the asset panel as Wosven has explained above. I'd recommend checking out our Spotlight Article on the pack, which shows how the artist uses these textures. I hope this helps!
  13. I'd recommend making a post in our feature requests section of the forums for our devs to consider adding this in the future
  14. Hi Tony H-S Please double check that your stroke is not set to 0pt, as when you draw the pen line you'll see the highlight of that line. Then when you go to draw the next line, it will deselect the last line and therefore remove the highlight, causing the stroke to appear to disappear. If you check your layers tab, you likely have many curve objects created all with 0pt thickness and are therefore not visible on your page. You can select all these curves and change the thickness, or delete them and start again with the pen tool!
  15. Hi MxSplendid, Welcome to the forums As can be seen from this plugin support list kindly created by @MEB, we're aware that Viveza 2 has known issues on the Mac in regards to colour shifts in preview. Our plugin support is continuously being upgraded and worked on, and hopefully this will be fixed in a future build!
  16. Hi ncJohn This behaviour is expected, each tool (including the move tool) remembers which 'well' was selected/used with that tool last, which is why you're seeing the well switching when changing tools. I've created a quick video below showing this in action, as can be seen before changing any well selection both tools use the same well. When I switch to the paintbrush tool and select the other well, then change back to the move tool, you can see the well selection reverts to the last well that was used with that tool. I hope this helps! Well Switch.mp4
  17. Hi Mariusz go The 'Solid Brush' that you select in the brushes studio has its Size Variance (based on pressure) set to 0% , hence any change in the pressure profile does not affect the stroke. If you select the second 'Solid Brush' in the brushes studio then you'll find the pressure profile affects the stroke, as this particular brushes Size Variance is set to 60%. I hope this helps!
  18. Hi fdoebbelin, Welcome to the forums The colour profile needs to be installed system-wide through your OS. Are you using Mac or Windows please?
  19. Hi Truebadore and welcome to the Affinity Forums I'm glad to hear your issue is now resolved, our dev team are aware of issues with Google Drive importing and are looking into it!
  20. Thanks for that, with the brush tool selected on the context toolbar there is the following icon next to More - Please make sure this setting is set to off, otherwise pressure will always control size. Does this fix your issue?
  21. Could you provide screenshots of your brush settings please?
  22. Thanks for confirming that, could you let me know is your camera set to RAW, M-RAW or S-RAW mode? Most RAWs have a JPEG embedded in them, for preview or thumbnail purposes, even when shooting in RAW only mode. This isn't an accessible JPEG as such, but iOS will use the embedded JPEG over the RAW data to display the image to you most of the time. Which other developing app have you tried? If possible you could you provide a copy of your RAW file to the following link? https://www.dropbox.com/request/HrBJrZ42VTMvUB7vF5e3
  23. I just want to let you know that our latest Photo Beta has reimplemented support for XTrans sensors. You're welcome to download the beta and give it a try!
  24. I see, thanks for letting me know Could you please try opening the .afdesign file, go to File>Document Setup and change the CMYK profile to U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2, ensuring convert is selected beneath the dropdown, then click Ok. Now try printing the file directly from Affinity Designer again, do you still see the colour difference on the first, sixth and ninth row?
