Duplicate objects
Gabe replied to jackamus's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi @jackamus, I'm afraid there is no delete duplicate function :( -
Hi @gilsoncav, Welcome to the forum. The behaviour should be the other way around unless the profile you're using is "flatter" than the raw image. The Photo gallery app would display the embedded jpeg, while Affinity would open the RAW, with RAW preview. Can you please upload the RAW file so we can have a look for you? Thanks, Gabe.

Replacing Sky issues
Gabe replied to jbrent's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi @jbrent, Welcome to the forums. You would expect this kind of result if your image is only 640x480. Refine tool mostly works on detecting edges/contrast between your selection. The more pixels you have, the better the mask will come out. On the other hand, on a 640x480, I'm really surprised it's worked this good. You can get away with it by changing the sky to a lighter tone so that it matches the "frost" around the edges. Thanks, Gabe- 13 replies

Unable to open image?
Gabe replied to Jacmaxwell24's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
Try to tap on the 3 horizontal bars on the bottom right corner of the image and duplicate. See if that helps -
Unable to open image?
Gabe replied to Jacmaxwell24's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
Hi @Jacmaxwell24, Welcome to the forum. Is that when you try to open a new image? Or when you try to open a project that is already on the welcome page? Thanks, Gabe -
Hallo @Radio Küken, Willkommen in den Foren. Wenn Sie Affinity Designer verwenden, können Sie den Hintergrund transparent machen, indem Sie in Datei> Dokument einrichten> Farbe> "Transparenter Hintergrund" überprüfen. Wenn Sie Affinity Photo verwenden, gehen Sie zu Dokument> Transparenter Hintergrund. Vielen Dank, Gabe.

Hi @jhazel0705, That is a normal behaviour. Technically, when you make any changes to a brush, you're creating a new one, therefore, the one that you selected initially won't be selected. To see this in action, select any brush, click on "More" just by the Hardness Value, now adjust the Opacity, and click Duplicate. If you scroll at the bottom of the brush panel, you will see the newly created brush. Thanks, Gabe.

I personally use DJV View. In the past, I was working with a lot of EXR and image sequence with different channels and this was handy to quickly check it. I have just seen that you're using a custom sRGB profile. You should be using either sRGB or AdobeRGB. Try to convert it to either of this 2 : Document>Convert ICC profile> and select sRGB or AdobeRGB. On the export dialogue>More make sure ICC profile is set to "Use document profile". Give that a go and let us know how it looks like. Edit: I suggest you stay away from OpenColourIO unless you work with 32bit images or Linear scenes.

Hi @Robert K, Welcome to the forum. AP works a bit different as it's mainly a Photo editing, not a DAM (Like LR). Therefore, some of LR feature will not work on AP( catalogue, later edits, compare, etc). As a reference, AD works more like PS rather than LR. You can, however, edit a photo and continue later, but you will have to save it as a .afphoto file. The system does not have any build in catalogue Thanks, Gabriel.

Affinity Designer - Search or Sort Layers
Gabe replied to Oshawk's topic in Feedback for Affinity Designer V1 on Desktop
Hi @Oshawk, Unfortunately, we do not have a search feature for the layers panel. Sorting the layers alphabetically would not be possible either It would be more of a manual search. Thanks, Gabe. -
Hi @Brian_G, You don't need to convert it twice. If you have installed the ICC profile from them already, open the image you need to work on, Click on Document>Assign ICC Profile>Assign the profile. Next, you just export as normal as the document ICC profile would be set to the one you chose earlier.
